Shorts for whole cruise?

I can't resist, and I know I'm going off topic. This is one of our costuming groups. Love Boat, The Next Generation. More commonly known as Love Trek.

Dude on the far left even kinda looks like Fred Grandy.

We call Clark, the guy on stage left (the tall one) Gopher all the time.

Yup, that's who I meant. Also, you just called me out as a theater nerd for referring to stage left as "left" when most normal people would call that the right side of the picture.

so long as you stay out of Palo or Remy you can stay in shorts all you want.

You probably could, but I like the MDR and would never wear shorts there....and we do like to go to Palo

We are getting ready for our 7 night Fantasy cruise in July. And, July is going to be brutally hot. I am thinking of wearing "dressy" shorts (to me they look like a short skirt) and a nice top on formal and semi-formal nights. Dh wants to wear a polo shirt & slacks. Will we look out of place?

We just cruised the fantasy last week and while we didn't overly dress up (I only wore dress pants 2 nights, DW aND SD wore as dress or skirt /top each night), and I oddly found us to be the most dressed up as anyone sitting around us. The casual code definitely felt life it was becoming the norm.

Absolutely, as did Doc and Gopher. Julie only sometimes. Isaac always wore pants, for some reason.

Clearly, I paid too much attention to the Love Boat as a kid.
But Mr.Roarke and Tatoo never wore shorts, and they spent all their time on a tropical island. Yeah, I know, different show, but seeing as it was on right after The Love Boat, I can't think of one without the other. :-)

I wear capris to main dining, but never shirts. And a skirt to Palo. I would recommend taking one long pants and a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt. There is always some point in a cruise where I need it!

On cruise casual or themed nights I'm fine with nice shorts & blouses or nice tops w/pretty sandals. My guys do khaki shorts & polos. Semi or formal Id rather ditch & go to the pool anyway. ;)

No shirts must raise some eyebrows

You might get cold at night as the ac can be nippy at times especially in the theatre or cinema, take a long pair just in case.
