Shortest Trip?

With kids: 4 nights, primarily to enjoy the Food and Wine Festival while minimizing absences from school. :) While lately we've managed 5-6 night trips in the fall while only missing 2 days of school, 4 nights was definitely do-able.

As a couple: 3 nights. It's all my in laws would do for our 20th anniversary. Yes, it was short, but we had a great time. We only did MK and EP, so we weren't trying to over do things.

earlier this year we found a 45 dollar round trip flight and flew down friday night after work, and back sunday afternoon. I booked WL passholder room right before we left. Saturday we did 1/2 day at MK, 1/2 day pool. Sunday had breakfast a 730am trattoria del fornia on opening day (last minute amazing reservation score), epcot, DHS, then on the magical express back home. Super quick, super fun.

I'm going this weekend for 1 night. Flying in early Saturday morning and home Sunday evening. I'm meeting a college friend and we are going to visit Pandora and AK Saturday and haven't decided on a park yet for Sunday! I can't wait to get my fix!

Shortest WDW trip. Checked in at Sports around 3 or 4 pm, went to MK until about 10 or 11 pm, back to Sports. Checked out about 9 am the next day to go to hotel near USO/IOA.

For a WDW only trip, no other FL visits, the least I could do was 2 night/3 days with an early arrival on day 1 and a late departure on day 3.

2.5 days... We have a 9.5 hour drive. This past Labor Day weekend we arrived on Friday afternoon in time for MNSSHP. Did parks on Saturday and Sunday. Drove home Monday.

One tip for short trips is to arrive as early as possible on arrival day, and leave as late as possible on departure day. That allows for unpacking & packing to not take place during your activity days, so they feel less hectic. And of course, your trip is a little longer that way, too. Another tip is to build downtime into even a short trip. Don't go commando the whole time, any more than you would go commando the whole time on a longer trip. Choose certain things that you want to focus on instead of trying to do it all.
^^^We have done it this way a few times.

Get into MCO by noonish, departure day flight scheduled for 3pmish.

My son and I are doing a 3 night 4 day trip in Aug. 8/5-8/8. Just a quick trip for him to get to see Pandora, we were there in March for a 6 night/7 day trip and I'll be back in Sept. for a 4 night 5 day trip (I might bump that up to 5 nights). We drive down and it's about a 7 1/2 hour drive so we will get there around 2:30 or 3 on Sat. probably go to Epcot or HS since we are staying at the Dolphin. Sunday will be AK, maybe a break in the middle to either go to another park or back to the resort for a dip in the pool. Monday we have ADRs for V&As at 6:45 so I'm not sure which park we are doing that day, most likely whichever one we didn't do Sat. or during the break on Sunday. We will hit the left over park Tues. morning before we leave, we try to leave around noon or 1 so we don't arrive home too late since I'll have to work on Wens. We will most likely be back at some point during December, either early in the month after UGA lets out or the week before Christmas or the week after.

We just did a 4 night trip this past May. We also did a 4 night trip in December 2014. Both were memorable trips, fun, and a nice break from our busy lives. We are looking at doing it again next May. It is long enough to get in some park time, nice meals, and to try a new resort.

We'll also be arriving on 8/5. Happy trip to you!

With a 9 hour flight, the shortest we can justify is 7 nights. And it goes so quickly!

We did two (1) night trips last year, one for MVMCP and one just to go to 1900 PF for a birthday dinner. We are a 2.5 hr flight away and when I can snag roundtrip flights on Frontier for less than $100 I have a hard time saying no :) We're flying down in October for one night just to attend MNSSHP, too.

We did a 2 night stay for Dh's birthday a few years ago. Flew down very early Friday morning & home very late Sunday night. Coworkers thought I was crazy but we had a blast. It was such a fun way to celebrate & since we usually only do week long vacations, it felt like a special treat. We enjoyed it so much, we did 3 nights the next year. Can't wait til we're retired & can plan more spur of the moment quick trips when we find good deals.

What is the shortest trip you've taken? We're thinking of doing 3 park days, 4 nights at one of the All Stars. Which is about how long I can handle those resorts haha. I'm worried that it's almost too short.

I'm from the midwest and regularly fly in, stay all night, 2 park days, fly home. So, 2 park days and 3 night stay. Now that I think about it, technically my shortest would have been driving 14 hours and going to the park on arrival, 1 full park day and driving home the next. So, 2 night stay. I love it.

We did a 2 day park trip recently. We have a 7.5 hour drive. I thought we would feel pressed for time but it was late January so crowds were very low and we got last minute FPs and ADRs pretty easily. We usually fully plan Disney trips a year out but we winged this one and it was a lot of fun! If it was our first trip, I would not do a short trip but since we have been multiple times, winging it was easy. We decided to make it an annual January tradition!

Less than 24 hours this past May. Scored a preview a lot for Pandora. Flew into MCO early Saturday morning, did DAK and then Pandora preview. Flight left MCO very early Sunday morning. Whew!
From where?

Before kids, we would fly down on Wednesday evenings after work and come back Sunday mornings. So, 3 park days. And we did the parks from rope drop to closing. They were TIRING vacations, but SO much fun.

I forgot - last year, we were in Cocoa Beach and then before we flew home, we stopped and stayed at POR for 2 days. It was heavenly!

That is exactly what I want to do! I want to fly in early one day and see either the Halloween party or the Christmas party. Then fly out sometime the next day. If I got someone to do two nights, I've even gotten it down to $300 per person including flights and they still say no. Ugh the struggle is real.

I think my shortest trip was about 4 hours at AK. Stopped off on the way home from Tampa and went on the Safari, Dinosaur, Everest, and ate dinner before leaving. But we live 2.5 hours from Disney so we do day trips from time to time. AK/Epcot was actually our 2nd date...whole trip took about 13 hours with travel. :p
