Hi-

First time poster, long time lurker.

I was wondering, what is the shortest time anyone has had to plan a Disney wedding?

I see that many plan for 2+ years- and I'm sure it's hard to get a specific date you want sometimes, but who's done it the fastest?

Thanks!

we started planning in may for our january wedding...so thats about 8 months...

We did in ours in six months. Started planning middle of November for our May wedding.

Ours was a vow renewal, not a wedding - but we planned it in about 5 weeks. Booked the day they announced the Memories Collection and our event was early October.:goodvibes

I think it also depends on which package you use. I once read a TR of a bride who planned an escape wedding in a week (They were a military couple and had a wishes wedding later), but I think it would be really, really hard to plan a Wishes wedding in less than say a month or 6 weeks.

We planned our Escape wedding in 6 months. Engaged in October, wedding in April. :goodvibes

I got engaged March 19th and called Disney two days later. It took until the end of April to sign my LOA - which is when I really started planning. I had my planning session July 8th and my wedding is Sept. 24th - so technically less than 5 months and I'm doing a Wishes wedding. We invited 110 people and am expecting about 65 -70 people. It's definitely do-able. You just have to make a decision and stick to it - which is a good thing really.

Traci, a coordinator from California for Disneyland, just planned a wedding in 3 days! I think its just whatever works with you and your schedule, and however much time you WANT to spend on this. Now, if you have a very specific date in mind and cannot be flexible, I would recommend booking early.

I know my planner emailed me last month saying that weddings had just popped up that were before mine. So I guess those people were planning wishes weddings in 3 months or less.

We planned our wishes wedding in 6 months. We started in February, had our planning session in June and are getting married in about 2 weeks. Disney can pull off any time frame. I think it really depends on how fast you can make the payments.

We had a cruise wedding booked a little less than a year from our wedding date, but when they released the Escape 20% off deal, we switched to WDW. We booked Sunset Pointe at 10 weeks out, but because of school I didn't plan anything until a month beforehand.
