Shorter hair? How are you 'doing' it for the big day?

So my hair is shorter... reverse bob, almost shoulder length in front, hits just below the nape of my neck in the back. I know that I want a simpler Tiara towards the front of my head and that I want side swept 'bangs'... but what do I do with the rest of it?

Short hair girls... show me your 'do' for the wedding! Please!

This is what my hair looks like now (I won't be wearing glasses for the VR)... except it's about two inches longer all over. I think I may want to grow it out a little longer yet, but not more than just hitting the top of my shoulders.

Mine is about the same length as yours and I loved how it was done for the wedding, I had Ana from Beaute Speciale and everyone could not believe how she had got my hair up and made it look that good. It also stayed in for the whole day! Here is a pic.

CDNTech I love the pics you found. Do any of them match your personality and dress style? Go with your gut. Do you have a hairdresser or someone picked to do your hair the day of? Pick 3 of the ones you like, bring a photo of you in your dress and ask your hairdresser how it would work for you & what he/she likes on you.
I had pretty short hair when we got engaged in Dec for an Oct wedding - I immediatly started growing it out a little do I could pull half away from my face and leave the back down.

The last three are my favourites. I think maybe the last one will win out just because we are doing something a little more simple and the majority of my pictures will be on the beach (at SP)... I have a pj started if you want to check out my obsessive ramblings. My dress pictures are also in there as well as the Tiara I would like to get.

The "creating the illusion of longer hair" photos are great!!! Where did you find those? I've had my hair put up at about that length but it didn't look nearly as good as that because the short pieces at the nape of my neck weren't in the up-do, kwim?

I know exactly what you mean... I do not want to grow my hair out for our VR either. First, it doesn't look the best on me and second, with two kids, I don't have time to do it properly every day.

This is the hairstyle I picked for my bridesmaids. I thought it would be perfect for their different lengths & thicknesses of hair.

But as far as the ones you posted, I really like the one of the girl in the wedding dress. I think it was the last picture you posted.

I have always had short hair and I love it! My hair is thin and wavy and I can't do much with it. In December I started trying to grow it out to shoulder length, but it's not even to my chin yet!

For the wedding:

Heaven only knows where my hairdresser found that much volume in my hair!

This is where I started 9 months before the wedding. And where I ended up when we got home from the honeymoon too! I really miss that pixie cut, had it on and off the last few years, but I'll keep trying to stick to this growing out thing awhile longer.
