Hi,

My family will only have a quick two day stay at WDW this June. I think we will just visit MK during our stay. Do you think the Contemporary Resort would be the best bet for us? Our dd will be almost 3yrs old in June and we would like to stay near as possible to MK park. I know the POLY would be an option too but,i don't know as much about the resort.Would a concierge room be worth it for only two nights? Any advise for just a two night MK stay would be wonderful!

thank you so much

WELCOME TO THE DIS!!! Glad to have you! Yes, I think the CR would be a good resort. Have you consitered the Wilderness Lodge (WL) ? It may be better for a shorter stay, because it's cheaper! :cheer2: Have fun Planning!

I have two nights before our cruise booked at CR. We will only have one full day at MK, and will try to see Illuminations the first night when we arrive. I think CR will be the most convenient for such a short stay, and less expensive than the other monorail resorts.
Have a great trip!

I'd stay at the CR anytime! If price is not a factor, do it! WL would be my second choice.... or maybe poly!

First of all welcome to the Disboard!!

If money is not a concern then go for the CR. If you are on a tighter budget you might want to consider the WL. We went there this past Dec. for the MVMCP and it was simply wonderful. They have there own boat service to and from MK.

When we go to WDW we always stay as close as possible to MK because of our 5yr DD.

Happy Planning!!

I would definitely pick the CR or Poly. The WL, although considered a MK resort, felt far-removed to us. We thought the transportation was very slow. Boat service basically sucked! The CR is cheaper than the Poly...but the Poly is our favorite. We've stayed at both. We liked CR - loved walking to the Magic Kingdom. You definitely need to be on the monorail line for such a short trip. And, you'll probably be spending very little time at the resort so I would suggest CR.

I would definitely go with CR for a short stay since it's a short walk to the MK. The garden wing room are a little less expensive--$199/AP Rate or $235/code rate during March (peak season). I've also read about the 12th floor concierage, which is "concierage light" and less expensive than full concierage, but you still get breakfast and some other offerings.

I would go with the CR, it is an easy walking distance from MK --if you bring your own stroller & dd falls asleep--it is a short 10 minute walk from the exit of MK to your room. (we timed it when we were there--I was curious)

I agree - CR does sound like the best resort for you for a short trip.

I disagree--unless you've stayed at the CR before and know you like it, I wouldn't advise you to stay there.

We went there for dinner last month (we stayed at the GF) and the CR was such a dump, I couldn't believe my eyes. To think people pay top dollar for that hotel amazes me. It was dark, all cement, low ceilings--yes, like a prison! I kept thinking, this is Disney???

Not to mention it was incredibly outdated...they need to bulldoze that hotel and start again. We found it to be horribly depressing.

Go with the Polynesian instead, or the GF, or the WL. I would avoid CR like the plague!

I haven't stayed there, but my impression was similiar to micmacmissy when we went for dinner, I'd rather stay at POFQ and take the bus if I am completely honest.
