Hi Everyone,
This will be a very short trip report...I don't have it in me right now to write a long story like most of you do (by the way much respect to those of you that do) I usually make it out to WDW or Disneyland every other month or so (I work for an airline)...
Me and a co-worker from my work flew into WDW on tuesday evening checked into Caribbean Beach and then went to sleep for a FULL day on Wednesday at Magic Kingdom and then onto MGM-Studios for extra magic hours. We took two of her nephews and her 7 year old daughter.
We woke up at 7am on wednesday morning to make it to the bus stop by 8:15, we made it to Magic Kingdom by 8:45... We stood in line for Pluto for pix and autographs, got through the gates and headed towards Fantasyland. They don't know much about the parks so the relied on my knowledge. We went Peter Pan flight to get fast passes and then we headed over to Winnie the Pooh, when we were approaching the entrance, I noticed there was a dream team member at the entrance, I didn't think much of it because as many times as I have been to WDW and Disneyland this year I have never seen "dream" happen. Well the cast member started asking my friend's daughter questions about Winnie the Pooh, like what did Winnie like to eat all the time, what does Eeyore always lose, etc... My freinds daughter answered all the questions, except for one, I think she was just nervous because a stranger was talking to her
Anyways after she asked all the Pooh questions she reached into her satchel and pulled out a certficate with all of the Winnie characters autographs on it and wrote her name on it. And then escourted us to the front of the line (which was a 20 minute wait)... Once we got on the ride my friend whispered to me, "they do this all the time right? " I said no actually, this was really special. She asked why I didn't say anything at the time. I told I was enjoying the moment and it was really her daughter's moment. I thought this was so great, this was our first ride of the day and I knew we were going to have a great day
So on we went to ride the rides in Fantasyland, I think we rode all of them by noon, including stopping and grabbing a pretzel for a small break and breakfast. Her daughter loved Peter Pan and It's a Small World.
After fantasyland, we rode Splash Mountain. Her daughter cried on the way down the big drop. But she hung in like a trooper. She liked the ride up until that part, and then the end she got into the song.
We then headed out for MGM-Studios. Her daughter is really into High School Musical, so we wanted to see the pep rally. We got a times guide and then went on The Great Movie Ride (one of my peronal Favs)...then we watched the afternoon parade, Her daughter met Snow White, and Belle (she loved getting their autographs) and stayed for the pep rally... then we went back to the resort and swam and ate dinner. And then we were back for the extra magic hours at 9pm we saw Indy.
We wanted to see Mermaid, but her daughter was exhausted and wanted to go back to the room and sleep. We had to be up be at the front for the ME to pick us up by 6am...so they went to the room to sleep. I had a little bit of steam left in me, so I went off by myself, and saw Mermaid, and then rode Star Tours ( I actually just walked on that ride) and rode Tower of Terror. I made it back to the room at 2am..
BTW- my friend's nephew;s did their own thing, they did not stick with us- if you were wondering why I never mention them... LOL
I think I only got maybe 2 hours of sleep. I was up at 7am on wednesday morning and stayed up until 3am..but I had a great time...
Oh well, I'm actually going to Disneyland next week, so maybe I'll write another trip report when I return...
Hope you enjoyed reading this...and THANKS for reading....I had fun writing it
