DH, DMom, DD6, and myself are going to WDW november 2- 6. We are staying at POFQ, and we will only have three full days at the parks. We have been to WDW before, and are fans of MK-we go every visit. We last went to MGM in '97, and the last time we were at Epcot was '84!! So we really want to see those parks, and take our time and enjoy them.

The wild card is AK. We have never been there, and planned to miss it this trip. Then the November hours came out, and MK is open late the day we will be there. We really want to see Wishes, so we will be there til closing at 10pm. We are planning on getting there at opening in the AM. Will it be worth it to try to leave MK and hop to AK for only 2 or 3 hours in the afternoon? I really want to do KS, and FOTLK.

Should we try it, or forget about it and hit AK next time? Don't have a trip planned, but hopefully, we'd get to go in the next couple of years.

I've been going back and forth over this issue- opinions, please!:wave2:

FOTLK is my favorite show in WDW so I'd say, yes , it's worth it for that and Safari. But I'd try to do it in the morning rather than afternoon. The earlier you can get on the Safari, the better. The animals are much more active early in the day. Here's a warning, though: on our first visit to AK, I planned only a few hours there, thinking it would not hold our interest for longer than that. We ended up spending most of the the day and half of another day at this park! I really love AK. It is so beautiful and has such a relaxed, laid-back feel to it. You really don't want to rush from one attraction to another; just stroll through the park and take it all in. It's an amazing place.

It is worth going to AK for a few hours. You can get the feel of the park and FOTLK is worth admission alone. What I would be concerned with is the commute time between MK and AK in the middle of the day. It would maybe be better to go to AK first thing and then hop to MK. Then only 1 journey has to be figured in to your precious time.

I agree with the previous posters. If you can be at AK at opening, you should run to KS and do it first (mornings are great to see the animals anyway). After KS, head back to see FOTLK. If you can make it to the earliest showing (9:45), you can still be at MK by noon.

You are staying onsite, so if you utilize EMH at AK, you could do this no problem. :)

I would start a day at AK and then finish it at MGM. Neither park takes a full day and since MGM is open later, I'd do AK first. I like to have a whole day for MK.

Yes, the Safari is worth the admission. If you get there early, the line won't be to bad.
