October Trip Report – the short version
Charatcers – me, DD 5, Grandma, Carla (Friend), her DD5 and DD2, and her mother

I pulled something in my foot and managed to get around gimp-style for 4 days. It still aches. lol

We drove down Wednesday am, arrived by 11:30 and were able to check in and get our rooms at HoJos. I was very impressed they were ready. We stayed in Blding 4 – not the new comfy pillow-top beds and no micro, but we were all comfortable enough.

So between 1pm – 5pm we *meet-n-greet tink * PP * Alice in Wonderland * Tea Cups * IASW * meet-n-greet villains (Hook, Jafar, Old Woman from Snow White) * PFF (Belle, Ariel, Princess Minnie – amazing! * Astro Blasters * rode Ghost Galaxy * Meet-n-greet Mickey and Minnie in their costumes – I want to say this was at the front of MS but we also saw them another day in TL in front of SM
Lines ran about 20-30 min. GG was at 45 but we used FPs that we grabbed earlier in the afternoon

Went to ToTP that night. The best part was the entertainment. The candy was ok if you like being herded in lines from cart to cart. We didn’t go to all of them and still have lots and lots of candy. We rode Soarin’ and TSM – the wait time was about as long as usual. We also rode Monster’s Inc. The best part was the dance party they had going on at the stage there where the kids danced with characters from Bugs Life and Sulley. We didn’t see a single villain I was soooo mad! If we do it again I will definitely skip the rides and character lines and just enjoy the entertainment.

Thursday: *PotC * HM * Splash (twice walk -on – DD5’s 1st time and she loved it!) * Pooh and Pooh’s corner of course * Indy which we FP’d * Treehouse * GG (SM) (OMG amazing!) * lunch at Carnation – the best potato soup EVER * break at Hojo’s * I can’t remember what we did when we came back to the park that evening… I’m pretty sure it was a FP ride… hmm *fireworks which would have been more awesome if we weren’t too far to the left

Friday: Split up so it was just me DD5 and grandma. We hit *PotC * HM * Splash (twice – we didn’t even have to get out of the log!) * Pooh and Pooh’s corner of course * Indy which we FP’d (Yeah yeah… sounds just like Thursday but it’s our favorite part of the park) * Billy Hill show – we were in line behind a woman who had a LGMH but dummy that I am I didn’t say anything, it was the 11:15 show, so "Hi" if it was you * did Silhouettes on MS * hung out on the porch next door and people watched * hopped to CA and convinced DD5 to go on ToT – keep in mind she was adamant that she will not go on the Matterhorn because it’s too fast/scary. Why she agreed to ToT I’ll never know, but she was very proud of herself J * GRR * Soarin’ * missed Aladdin because we wanted to get back to DL before CA closed early at 6

At this point DL was finally starting to get crowded but we managed to get a table at Café Orleans for a relaxing dinner with only a 15 minute wait. Then settle at the hub right in front of the castle to wait for fireworks again. A lot of people were already gathering and we didn’t mind hanging out for 3 hours. The park was too crowded to do anything else and the view of the castle and lights was fairly entertaining in itself. I took DD through to see Sleeping Beauty while grandma held our seats. The fireworks were so worth it! I do regret that we missed Fantasmic AGAIN. I haven’t seen it in years and years. I’ll put it on the MUST DO list for next time.

Saturday – we indulged DD in Nemo (I hate the subs) and took grandma on ToT at DCA – she had made a trip back to the hotel to drop off bags when we went the first time. Back at Hojo’s by 11 the kids played at Pirate’s Cove for 30 min and had a blast. Then we checked out and drove home.

There’s stuff I’m missing but the main point is that we were able to do soooo much each day. The crowds weren’t bad at all except Friday night, which was fine because we were chillin’ on MS. If you’re thinking of doing ToTP I recommend you get your fill of entertainment and don’t waste time in line for rides, and good luck finding villians

Excellent report. :thumbsup2

I like when you did "Pooh....& pooh corner...of course!" multiple times.

I can SO relate. Gotta have a little snack after riding in beehive huny pot.

:)
