Just curious what most people prefer:

A) A long trip (7-9) days over a busy time

or

B) A a few short 3-4 day weekend trips during slow times and throughout the year.

We do the "mini trip" thing a few times a year. Last year was a bit extreme, we went in october '04, feb '05, april '05, july '05, november '05 and april '05! Maximized those AP's! Next trip on the books is US/IOA in October but who knows, maybe a few WDW days somewhere between now and then. ;)

We go on longer trips only because we fly and to pay the airfare for 4 people 3-4 times a year wouldn't be an option for us.

If I had the option to do two times a year, I would DEFINITELY take 2 mini trips during the off peak time. Just think - you can get SO much more done when the crowds aren't awful, plus the weather will be much nicer. If we had to go during peak times, I don't think we'd end up doing it. We went in February and the crowds were great - we walked onto most rides and had a few w/ minimal wait. Plus, with the milder weather you have a much better energy level and require fewer breaks. My two cents worth!!!

I never did the short trip until last year. We went close to x-mas to see all the holiday decorations and events and it was SOOOO WELL-WORTH it!!!! It was the perfect weekend getaway and we were able to visit at a time when we never have. We are also doing a 4 day trip for my b-day in Aug and are going to hit our fav restaraunts and parks.

If we go for longer periods of time, we do no less than 7 days to get everything in. Short trips are just to see our favs....and get our fix!

We come all the way from Ireland and it's a about a 20 hour door to door journey so short trip isn't an option for us. we prefer the longer the better and usually visit for a month at a time. We spend most of out time visiting Disney (and stay onsite for about 8 days) but also visit Sea World, Universal and spend other days shopping or just chilling by the pool

We take to 9 or 10 day trips per year; however, I'd love to slip a 4 day mini trip in.

I had a ball and we got lots done, but it was hot and very busy..

I miss the relaxation of our shorter less busy trips... :thumbsup2

I will probably plan more short off season trips in the future and just pull DD out of school a few days. :goodvibes

Maybe 3-4 days and just pick our 2 favorite parks...... We are planning for mid December..... :goodvibes

If I would go again around Memorial day I think I would do 8-10 days with more time to just relax and swim in between park days. :thumbsup2

I prefer a longer trip during the off season!
