We returned yesterday, the 23rd, from a 6 day trip to Kidani Village. My DW, DNiece (15yo and first trip) and myself stayed in a 1bdr villa.
We arrived at the resort via ME. Waited about 2 minutes before they put us on the bus headed to Caribbean Beach and POP.
A CM named Lisa met us outside Kidani and checked us in while sitting on one of the sofas in the lobby. We had arrived around 11:00 AM and the villa was ready.
I did use the online check-in a few days prior.
Our DNiece had a great time. She loved the fact that she had her own bathroom in the 1bdr. We stayed in room 7933 on the 5th floor overlooking the pool area.
We were at the end of the “bead” and could see a good bit of the Pembe(?) savanna from the end of the balcony. This was nice considering it is listed as a standard view.
We did all the parks and the Halloween party at MK . I guess we saw Johnny Depp on the pirate float but did not realize it at the time.
DNiece loved RnR coaster and TSM at DHS. She was not as thrilled with ToT. She said the salad and pizza at Via Napoli in Italy at EPCOT was the best she ever had. She also gave a “thumbs up” to the pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD.
The 1bdr villa was clean and everything was in working order. The 4 slot toaster worked well for English muffins and pop-tarts in the morning. Each pair of slots has its own controls.
The bus services were hit and miss as usual. I would estimate more hit than miss. Not a problem for this trip.
I was surprised how crowded it was this time of year. It looks like a lot more people are taking advantage of the schools’ fall break. The Halloween party was packed.
Check-out went without a hitch.
The wireless internet connection at Kidani worked fine the entire trip. My wife used her Ipad2 every night.
We stayed from 10-18 to 10-23. The weather was cooler than average for this time of year. We did wear coats or sweatshirts most nights.

Bus with Mickey brake lights. The driver says this is the only one out of the 500+ busses in service at Disney.

Great pics! Now I have an idea what the standard view is like at Kidani. We'll be staying there next year...now I REALLY can't wait:cheer2:

Thanks for sharing the report and the great pics. DH and I LOVE Kidani!

Sounds like a great trip! We missed going in Oct this year and are hoping to be able to head back next year in Oct!!

It really was a great vacation. The CMs at Kidiana were so friendly, and we had no problems with our mousekeeping crew.
Here are a few more photos.

Awesome trip report! :thumbsup2 We also love Kidani and can't wait to go back. Thanks for taking the time to share some magic with all of us! :goodvibes

Love the pictures! What a great Aunt and Uncle! I hope you created another Disney fan in your niece.

Sounds like a great trip! We checked-out of Kidani on 10/18. We were on the third floor in 7735. We were also very excited to have a "savanna view", since we were in a standard view room. It was much better than our standard view last December, overlooking the bus stop from the 5th floor.

We love the pizza at Via Napoli and really like Puck Express at DTD as well. We were at MNSSHP on 10/20, and it was quite busy that night. Overall, we thought the crowds at the parks were not too bad, other than on 10/21 and 10/22.

Great pics!
