We had the last studio down the hall on the 2nd floor, 2133. It's a long walk down the hall, but has a very nice view, and the stairs are very convenient. The stairs are great for using the community pool, hardly any walk at all, and I did use the pool/spa Monday morning before checking out.

We went to the DVC kiosk on Friday and got tickets to be in the audience for the Millionaire show that was being taped in MGM. This was just an OK for us experience. There was lots of waiting and being "warmed up." I had only been in the audience of shows like "Live" before. Still we're glad we did it, we would have wondered what we had missed, now we know.

We enjoyed the movie Narnia, and very much enjoyed the movie set that's in MGM. There was not a wait to get in, this was Friday morning.

I want to thank all members who give their stories here, you never know who you are helping. Specifically the people who tell about the refrigerator being turned off. I've always said to DH as he puts milk away that he should check to see if the frig is on. He's always humored me, but sure enough, it was turned off. I checked sheets, etc, we had a very clean room. There is a stain on the rug in the kitchenette, everything else was fine.

We stayed at POP before our BWV studio, and that was a nice room, clean, and it was quiet. We had used the passholder's discount, Best Rate, or something like that, and it was only about $75 including tax, worth the price to us. I see now that the passholders room booking is different, I hope we get something like that again. We did use DDE at POP, it went through the computers there without any problem.

After Illuminations on Sunday the Friendship boat's skipper said that he couldn't leave for 15 minutes because there were special fireworks scheduled on the lake by the BW. So, we walked, and sure enough, there was a single boat on the water, and suddenly there was about 5 minutes of fireworks coming from 3 platforms in the lake. There was music and it was great to see on the boardwalk, I imagine the people in the boat were very pleased with it. There was a wedding on Monday morning, but I don't know if the 2 events were connected.

For us, it was another great DVC stay. We'll be back in May (and June and August!)

Sounds like you had a very nice trip! I'm interested in the Narnia set, I had not heard about that...

and... in honour of Richyams..

Did you find that you aged much as you walked to your room? :dancer:

The Narnia set is between the display about Walt's Dream and the Millionaire set. You enter the set via a Wardrobe, and suddenly, you are in Narnia. There is a visit by the White Witch and clips from the film. Once you see the film, you recognize that the clips are not in the correct order, but they are great clips, and it really refreshed my memory about why we loved the movie.

You see other things, designs, costumes, artifacts from the movie as you exit, and outside the exit door there is a set with the lampost for picturetaking. You are asked not to take flash film inside the exhibit.

The Narnia set will only be there for a limited time. It began around December 9th.

I do think of Richyams as I walk down the halls of BWV. As we climbed up the steps, I actually thought that I had the worst of both, long hallways and steps to climb!
