I saw an article in the newspaper that I thought might be useful to someone. It was about a company called Shoretrips.com which is offering an alternative to the land excursions that cruise ships offer.
I don't know how long this link will work, but here's a link to the article. The part that intrigued me was that it said "Options range from extreme adventure to tours suitable for the physically challenged." The article also indicated that the company will deal with small groups and (as small as 2-4 people) and that they feel one of their biggest advantages is their flexibility.
