Knowing that some of us are getting ready to sail into hurricane/TS weather
, I'm curious about shore excursions when a cruise is diverted to other ports. I'm sure DCL normally refunds to the onboard account any DCL-reserved shore excursions for ports that it cannot sail to. But when a cruise is diverted to a different port(s) are there shore excursions available at the diversion port(s)? If so, how are reservations made for those shore excursions - is it just a matter of working through the Shore Excursion desk onboard on a first-come, first-served basis?
I know there are a bunch of folks on this board who must have gone through this. Just wondering how it all works?
Hopefully, I won't get any first-hand experience with it!!!
