We are very close to our first ever Disney World family vacation. I am wondering if it is easy to find things like toddler sunglasses and hats with character themes (like cars and toy story)?

Also I said off handed to my husband that I thought we could find anything in WDW and my husband has challenged me to find men's medium Donald duck swim shorts with a nautical theme...if I can find them, he is gonna wear them! Any chance?

Okay I don't know about the Donald swim shorts, but hit your local Disney store for the baby stuff! They have a really good variety there and my store had sales - you're not going to find sales at WDW. Buy what you can here and now so you can walk by the stores at WDW. You might find Donald swim shorts there - my DH has Mickey swim shorts!!

I believe I've seen nautical DD shorts in either the Poly, Yacht and Beach club, AK or World of Disney store at DTD. Keep in mind that shopping will not be a high priority once you arrive. In fact, it's a bit of a time issue with all there is to do and see in the parks. Take a stroll through the Budget Board and look for ways to get all of your "essentials" shopping done before you hit WDW. We make it a habit to ONLY purchase items that can't be found outside the parks. I absolutely hate to think I'm buying something that anyone can find in their mall's Disney StoreTrenD is our new destination in DTD this trip--we leave Friday. Look for the stamp mark "exclusive to WDW parks" or a specific resort logo. Have a magical time--hope it is the first of many

It has been our experience that shopping is never a problem in WDW!

We usually have a big shopping afternoon towards the end of our trip, head to DTD and hit the HUGE World of Disney store. They have just about everything that all the other stores have, and lots of things they don't! It's like a mall-o-Disney stuff!
Yes, I have seen toddler sunglasses at just about every kiosk or store in every park. Hats are EVERYWHERE too!

As for DD swim trunks.... I know I have seen some at the Polynesian resort gift shop.

You might can find the shorts at the store across from Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse/POTC. They usually have cute island theme stuff.

Kudos to your husband for wearing Donald trunks...he sounds like a fun guy!
