I just posted this on another thread a few minutes ago:
I used the delivery service of a local independent grocery store, Gooding's (
www.goodings.com). What I liked best about Goodings over wegoshop was the details of the delivery process, and that's what made me choose Gooding's for my trip a few months ago.
With wegoshop you schedule your delivery and you have to be there. It's completely different with Gooding's. They don't deliver directly to you, they deliver to your resort's Bell Services. Bell Services then calls you, and if you're not in your room they leave a message and wait for you to call back, then they will deliver it to you. The best part is that Gooding's separately bags and labels refrigerated items (we got deli meats, cheese sticks, yogurt, milk, cream cheese, etc.), and if Bell Services stores your groceries for you they keep your cold stuff cold for you! I thought that was the best idea in the world.
Before I knew of this aspect of Gooding's delivery, I was obsessing over exactly when to schedule my grocery delivery (and then hope it showed up in time). Since I had an early flight, I knew I'd be getting to CBR way before the 3:00 p.m. check-in time, but I couldn't know EXACTLY when since we were using DME. I was wondering, do I take the chance I will be able to check-in early and schedule the delivery for maybe 1:00 p.m.??? If I did that but my room wasn't ready, I'd be risking that my milk and cheese and deli stuff wouldn't be happy sitting out in the Florida heat for a few hours until the room was ready. If I waited to schedule the delivery for, say, 3:30 p.m., that would be safer but I'd tie myself to my room when what I'd really be itching to do is get to one of the parks with my kids. Gooding's delivery policy made all of my worries and questions disappear.
The only downside to Gooding's delivery (which didn't matter to me) is that they can't deliver alcohol since they never actually see you to verify your age.
They charge a $10 fee and have a $50 minimum. The selection of items on their website seems limited, but you can order anything they have on their shelves, just ask.
