Shopping service question

Has anyone used the shopping service to have their purchases from the park sent to the Disney Village for collection? Is it quick to organise when doing the buying and easy to sort out when collecting?

Becky we used this service when we stayed off-site.
I don't think purchases after 3pm can be added.
They could not find one of our bags, so rather than hang about we returned after going for a snack and drink.

Sorry meant to add that you have to make sure that CM knows this before they start to ring up first item.

Have used it when staying on site at Davy Crockett ranch ,bags were sent to the camp shop. Especially good for ride photos to ensure they don't get bent

I've used it quite successfully and would recommend it. As Reid says you need to tell them before they start running up the bill on the till or it's a lot of hassle for them to amend it ( I know this from experience with a very nice CM at the babyshop)

Thanks again! This is exactly the sort of info I needed. As I'm only there for the day, time is of the essence!! Talking of which - I know you pick up the shopping at the Disney Store, can anybody tell me exactly where from?!!!

Noticed that the counter for collection is at the rear right hand side of the Disney Store, when we were in there yesterday.

true!.... we bought some glass from the shop in the castle and, after messing around for a bit, went to the counter, asked for it to be taken to the santa fe and the guy was like "it's after 3..." but i really was like 3.00.05 or something... he had a word with the lady behind him, made a quick call (to Walt??!?!) and said it was ok... yeah!

picking up our stuff was ok, but they couldn't find a few of our bags so we had to wait around a few minutes (in which time we bought MORE stuff....)

it IS a great idea cos we bought quite a bit and smashable stuff too... it meant we could still go on rides and not worry in the crowds... i think EVERYWHERE should do it....

The shopping service is awesome - saved me carrying round a big and bulky Phantom Manor globe all day!

It makes good marketing sense since you can buy more..... well I know that we always do

me too..... partly because i forget how much i've already bought...

and ESPECIALLY if you're charging it to your room... *shudder*
