Shopping on Western?

Question for the shoppers...

What port has the best shopping? Especially for good jewelry?

I'm trying to see which port we should do excursions at versus shopping in town.

Or is there enough time to do both? I was thinking a short (4 hr) snorkling excursion then back to the ship to clean up then out again to shop. Or even one of the "sub" trips (2-2 1/2 hr) to see the reef but still be dressed to shop?

Any advice would be great!!!!

We found the best shopping in Cozumel. For jewelry we shopped at the Diamonds International in the Forum Shops. (where you pick up your free diamond and tanzanite earrings..if they are still doing that..check the shopping talk on the ship).

Grand Cayman is a wealthier island and we found things to be very expensive there. Good place to eat though and some great microbrews. Enjoy!

First off I have never been to GC or Cozumel. But my parents have been several times to both. They say Cozumel is better. It seems like everytime they go my mom ends up with tons of jewelry from there. I don't know the exact places but I know they said it was the main shopping area where they got it all last time.

Another vote for Cozumel...I found that the prices were more expensive in Grand Caymen.....got a few items in Cozumel.
