By far one f the best places to get cool things, along with downtown disney, so tell, what is the best thing you have bought from the parks?

And also, how much does one of those cool mouse ear shaped balloons cost? Want to make sure I have enough cash :}.

Any cool holiday purchases?
Or maybe the best t-shirt ever?
Share it here!

My favorite purchase to this day is my blown glass Jiminy Cricket!

My daughter would say her Rainbow Mickey shirt from TrenD. Me hmm I never bought anything super cool- but I love my disneyworld cookbook. It's like I can pretend that I'm there when I am home. OH WAIT!! I love my rice bowls that I bought in the Japan pavillion. And I am hoping to buy a bunch more. I love those little bowls!

When I was little I loved buying a glass whatever- those little tiny ones. Maybe I'll have to buy a Jiminy Cricket myself!

It's kind of funny, but my favorite thing I've ever bought was a giant cross stitch kit of the castle with Mickey and Walt walking towards it.

I haven't taken it out of the bag to even start it. :lmao:

I don't think I've ever really bought anything "cool." I do have two things that I have purchased while I was there that I absolutely love, though.
One is an ornament that is just a miniature castle. I bought it several years ago and had it sitting on my TV stand in my room on an ornament holder. When I got my dog a year and a half ago, she knocked it off with her tail and it broke. I searched and searched for that ornament every time I went since then. I could only find one that was similar but I didn't like it as much. I finally found it this past trip and rebought it. I also bought a silver Mickey ornament that is so cool!

Second is a painting by Thomas Kinkade called "A New Day at the Cinderella Castle". I saw it in a gallery at a mall here in PA and just fell in love. I searched ebay and everywhere online for it. I finally gave up and we went to Disney last year. I was in the animator tour thing and came out through the art store. I was looking around and found a small 8X10 print of the painting and had to buy it. I am now on a hunt for a print of a painting I saw last time I was down there that had just come out and they didn't have any prints of it yet.

I believe the balloon cost $10. That is how much mine cost in September.

I really like the little glass figurines.

I can narrow it down to just a few things, I have bought so many great things from Disney, I would say one of my most favorites is my Mickey and Minnie purse with a silver lock decoration on the front, then my watch with 6 interchangable bands, my gold Mickey earings and my Walt Disney world fleece jacket.

My greatest Holiday purchase is my blanket with Mickey and the gang sitting by the fireplace.

I think she/he is talking about the new LIGHT UP balloons and I am thinking I read they are $12? Seems like a deal to me.

My favorite purchase was made in October 2002. It was a black, tie-dyed MNSSHP tshirt.

I am still angry that I wore it the night that an old man hit and flipped my van. It was cut off of me in the ER. :sad1:

To me, that shirt represented the first time my kids had been to WDW. We took them for our first "Gotcha Day" (anniversary of our adoption.) It was also the first MNSSHP that we attended.

I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't have framed the design portion of the shirt so at least I'd have a part of it.

Not much of a shopper here but I always try to get some small souveniers for my coworkers.

Last trip I went to Basin in The Grand Floridian and got everyone a "slice" of the handmade soap with all the little Mickey ears on it. Got blue for the guys and various pinks for the ladies. The guys actually seemed to like it oddly enough!!

A few years ago, I was at one of the big gift shops in Epcot and got myself a very bright purple Mickey Ears beer bottle open/key chain thingy. It was great because it was so bright purple. But it got all scratched up and I've tried, in vain, to find another. I guess they don't make them anymore.

my most favorite ever ever item that I have purchased FOR MYSELF is my "mock" Vera Bradley bag. It is blue and white and hidden Mickeys on one side......then the little purse that I got as a bonus in AK to match it......I love it....now they are selling the madras colored purses.....

I'm a huge WDW shopper and I have so many favorites it's hard to list them all. :goodvibes
I have alot of hoodies which I wear to death. The "Year of Million Dreams" mens one was thich enough I wore it most of the winter.

Mousegear and the Emporium are a few of my favorite shops. The POP! has a good one too.

I got these as a gift on our Christmas 2008 visit. They were available in a lot of different stores. LOVE them.

...a cinnamon/cheese-filled pretzel from the Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland...

....AND my Mickey Christmas ornaments that resemble carved wood...

Wow! Never heard of these. Anyone have a picture?

How fun! Thanks for that link.

As for me, some of my favorite souvenirs are ones I get to use every day when I get back home, like my rose gold Skagen Mickey watch, my D&B tassel tote (that one my mom actually got me for Christmas last year, but it counts :) ), pens, things like that. I love the keychain I got at Epcot during this past Flower & Garden Festival--it has all these little danglies on it that look like a ladybug, a bird, watering can, that kind of stuff. Very cute.

The best thing I ever bought was in June 2008 at the Christmas shop in DTD, I was here on vacation and found our first house! I found an ornament that looks like the castle only like its made out of wood with little Christmas trees on each of the "towers" (can't remember the word I'm looking for) and the "castle" is sitting on a snow bank on the snow is written "Our Castle in the Woods" Now it sits year round on my kitchen window and I look out in the backyard that is indeed woods:goodvibes
