Shopping in the parks - bag storage

I've been reading some reports and I think I saw that if you stay at a Disney resort you can have your merchandise bags delivered to your resort.

However... we are staying off site so I think I also read that you can have your bags sent to a certain area of the park and pick them up later? I was just curious how this works. When paying for your items do you just tell them you want to have them held? And if you are shopping a little bit thinking you can carry the bags and then decide later that you don't want to carry them can you drop them off somewhere?

They send them to a specific store towards the front of each park, but purchases have to be made before a certain time to make the cut-off for delivery to the front of that park. I don't recall those details, maybe someone else will.

Yes, just tell the CM at the time of purchase. No, you can't drop them off at a random store after the fact, just do it at time of purchase.

When you are making your purchase, ask the CM to send it to the front of the park to be held for you. They will fill out a form and give you a copy, where you will present it at the other location for pickup. At MK, I believe this spot is right next to City Hall/Guest Relations--on the right as you exit the park.

Actually, you can have a different shop send your items to your resort/ front of the park after the fact. I have done it when DS changed his mind about keeping his whatever with him. Had it sent back to the room. That is actually how we met one of our favorite Cast Members! He as training and needed to be shown how to do it without a sale.
