Where is the best shopping in St. Maarten? French or Dutch side?

But I have found the dutch side to have MUCH better deals on jewelry. Excellent qaulity and amazing bargins!

Are you on the Dutch side when you walk off the gangway?

The magic docks on the dutch side, you can either walk (if you walk look up on the hillside and you will see wild mountain goats-kinda neat) or take a water taxi to the shops, the walk was not bad at all.
