Shopping in Orlando

Can anyone tell me where the exclusive shopping area in Orlando is? My girlfriend needs somewhere to use my credit card while I am watching golf at disney. Any exclusive boutiques or Neiman Marcus around?

The Florida Mall in Orlando is a big
one.
It's 4.5 mile east of I-4 and International
Drive. (8001 S. Orange Blossom Tr.)

Unfortunately there isn't a Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom in Orlando as of yet. The closest place to find these stores is in Tampa. However there is a Saks 5th Avenue at the Florida Mall. Does your girlfriend like outlet shopping? There is a designer outlet mall which is pretty new and very nice very close to DTD. Maybe she could hop over there while you are watching the golf matches?

They have Barney's New York, Coach, DKNY, Kenneth Cole, Versace, Hugo Boss as well as FUBU and Tommy Hilfiger to mention a few. I am sure she could find something to buy there.

The Millenium Mall is fast approaching completion and may be done when you arrive. It will have the upper end shops that you refer to. It is off of I-4 (Conway exit).

Here is the link to The Mall at Millenia. It's scheduled to open October 18 and, whilst Neiman-Marcus is one of the anchor stores, I believe it's unlikely to be ready for opening day.

The Florida Mall is one of my favorites, especially since it was extended and refurbished a couple of years back. Orlando Premium Outlets has some good stuff and, considering it's an outlet complex, it's quite a nice environment too. Got a great Tod's bag there at a <i>huge</i> discount!

Pointe Orlando on International Drive is worth a visit. Not a huge number of shops, but again, a nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Everyone, thank you for your replies. I was hoping that there would be some exclusive downtown shopping area in Orlando that had better stores than most malls. And BTW Sgtdisney, I hope that the FUBU and Tommy suggestions were jokes or else you have serious problems when it comes to style.

Cosmic, I wasn't suggesting that Fubu or Tommy are high fashion. However some people's ideas of style are another person's idea of junk... To each his own I suppose. My comment was just meant to suggest that there are all sorts of designers in that mall. Happy shopping.
