Shopping help - Disney black "cinch" backpack?

This is gonna be a long shot, but I'm hoping someone can help me find a black Disney cinch bag that my mom is trying to get for my sister as a gift.

All she told me was that it's a bag that my sister pointed out to her on several people and in the stores when they were down in Disney World for New Year's. It's one of those cinch backpacks with the drawstring-type closing at the top. She said it was black with some sort of small emblem on it - could've been a Mickey, might have been WDW related, she's not sure. It's definitely a simple design.

Anyway, she asked me to try to find it for her to surprise my sister, but I have no idea what it looks like beyond what I just wrote, lol. I'd like to call WDW merchandising if I can find out a little more about it, and I figured maybe someone here would've bought it and can help me with the price or a picture or something.

I checked Disney shopping and Laughing Place, but no luck - anyone have any other suggestions?

I think I know the one you are talking about. I'll be on property tomorrow and take a look in a few stores for you to see if I can find it. If I do, I'll take pics and make a note of the price and sku number needed to call to order it.

its a backpack purse..... i have a few of these i usally get the yr we were there but a friend brang me back a gray one with mickey one the front they are great (if you call disney they can look up the types im still using my 08 one everyday as my purse)ohh you can look on ebay i have seen a few there

Dawnn, thank you for your input - I actually checked eBay earlier today, but the only ones that came up in that style were for little kids (Hannah Montana, Cars, Little Mermaid, etc.). I may just be searching the wrong terms though, it's tricky like that.

Bonybroad, can you tell me where you found them on Disney shopping? I checked the site and saw lots of cute bags and totes, but none in that cinch backpack style. Again, I could be searching for the wrong thing.

I have one just like you described. I got it in Animal Kingdom & one of the bigger stores but do not remember the name of the store but it was AK.

Thank you! Do you think you could possibly post a picture of the bag just so I can show it to my mom and make sure it's the one she's talking about? Then I can at least call up and describe it to AK stores if any of my other Dis friends aren't able to help out.

Hi. I don't know the exact number, but if you call the main 407-WDISNEY number, they can transfer you or give you the number. There is a resort shopping line that can pretty much find anything sold in the resorts or parks. I saw those bags in January - there were two types - one with a large 2009 logo and lots of characters, and one with a basic Disney logo (I think it said Est. 1972 or something). I would recommend calling and talking to them - they can help you.

Thanks for everyone's help - I'm still trying to narrow things down and actually just got off the phone with WDW merchandising.

Based on my description, they gave me the following:
- $19.95 with a What Will You Celebrate theme/logo
- $19.95 with the "2009" logo
- $19.95 with the four parks logo


Unfortunately, that was all the info (plus the SKU numbers) they could give me. They don't have pictures, so they can't really tell how large the logos are or whatever. I called about the one posted here, but it must've been discontinued, as they didn't have info on it anymore.

Anyone have any input?

I have a a cinch top bag that I just got in January when I was there. It's gray sweatshirt material with a kinda distressed Mickey at the corner but it came with a sweatshirt inside with the same mickey.
