Shopping Close by

We are wondering if there are any good places to go shopping close to Disneyland. We are planning on taking a day off from Disney and just shopping and going to the beach etc. Are there any good malls, Targets, outlet store etc. close by? Thanks for any info.

Target is a couple minutes drive down Harbor. About 5 miles south on I5 in Santa Ana is Mainplace Mall. That's a pretty nice place. Farther away in Costa Mesa is South Coast Plaza, a much larger mall. If you're looking for standard outlet stores, that's back up the freeway at least 30 to 45 minutes with no traffic in LA--the Citadel.

The Block is pretty close, it's an outdoor shopping/entertainment complex.

I like the Costa Mesa mall (Potter Barn, Crate and Barrel...)
I have tried many time to get my hubby to stop at the outlets...no such luck...I guess he's smarter than me. But with traffic, unless it is on your way, ugh!

We got our necessities at Target and shopped the block....ate at Dave and Busters there too which was a great meal. The block has Ron Jon surf shop which made my kids happy!!!Neat place.
