Has anyone shopped at this store? Going to DL/DCA in July and getting 6 day hopper passes. Staying 8 nights and have 2 days to devote to other things to do. Thought we might do 1 day of shopping. Last year was our
1st trip to DL and didn't have a chance to go to the Character Warehouse. Thought we might give it a try this year. Staying at Carousel Inn and no need to rent a car. How far and how much money might it cost for a taxi ride there? (Mother/Adult daughter trip)
Thanks for any information that can be shared!!!:flower3:

You can take a bus. Somewhere on the DIS is a post about how to get there by bus. It's pretty simple but I forget the details. I'll see if I can find the post.

Sorry I can't find the right post, but it's on here somewhere.

The Character Warehouse itself, is a sort of mix bag of items. The link is to a little mental review of my visit there.

The CW up near Pomona sounds much better, but I've never been to that one.

The character warehouse was a bit of a disappointment to me, too. I get much better deals at our Disney Store Outlet (AZ Mills Mall... close enough to CA that we get Disneyland merchandise there!). I don't think it would be worth the taxi ride for me. In fact, we went twice, and I don't think I bought anything on either trip.

Definitely hit or miss - was there before Christmas and bought nothing - other times I've had luck.
I wouldn't go very far out of the way for it.

Unless - you're an extra-small or xxl - then there may be a lot...

I have never had luck with the CW. But I am not big in to buying a bunch of "stuff." Our trip in January I didn't buy anything.

If you choose to get there by bus, here is the link to the OC Bus Trip Plan.

You can choose landmark then hotel to choose your hotel name as your origin of travel. Then choose landmark "Fullerton", then shopping centre, then "Orangefair" for the closest bus stop to the mall location as your destination of travel.

The plan will give you time it takes to get there plus step-by-step instructions with bus stop number and transfer info.

Hope this helps! Have fun planning.

Good to know it's not that great, it was on our list too.
I think we'll skip it and just buy afew things elsewhere.

I spent over $100 on my trip there. It is great if you have to pick up little souvenirs. They had little plushies for about $5. cute little purses, tshirts and lots of little kids clothes. I guess if you have an outlet store near you it might not seem great....but I LOVED it. Saved me a ton of money :cool1:
