It wasn't this bad after Christmas.

Must be a full moon! :(

Sorry you had a rough day. :( Put your feet up and relax now. I'll ask Will to get you a drink. :)

They were last night too and I wasnt in the mood. I had one lady stand literally 2 inches away from my face when I was trying to open a fitting room door...then when I walked in to turn the light on she practically knocked me over trying to get in when i was trying to get out... GRRRRR....

Sorry! Feel free to share the horror stories... LOL

Sorry you had a rough day, Lauri and Preshi. Hope tomorrow is better.

I had two people today and one yesterday, tell me that they are not shopping there any more. They didn't like the return policies.
I had two ladies call me a liar today. Some were fighting over coupons. One lady got upset with me because I asked to see her drivers license.
They were getting things for less than 10 bucks and yet they were still asking me, are you sure that isn't supposed to be lower.
One lady was shoplifting today with a little boy. :(

You know, it's one thing to be insulted, but it's quite another to have to smile while they do it. I'm going to have to develop thicker skin or something.

Preshi, let's here some of yours'.

Yikes! Retail doesn't pay enough to be treated like that! :( Some people just have no manners.

I think Maggie is right, must a full moon.
Hope tomorrow is better!

Ok... once this lady. Ok someone wasn't doing hteir job and wasn't checking to make sure the fitting room doors were locked. Our fitting rooms are always locked and they each have their own lights so we know whos in which room because they are full floor to almost celing doors. Anyways somone must have walked out and turned their light off... and another person wandered in... I go in with a customer see a door is a little open, light off and pretty much kick the door open with my foot... to a woman who is pretty naked... Well HELLO!!! Lock the door at least if you are going to change! LMAO it was pretty funny!

2 weeks ago we had a guy come in... it was DEAD in the store... we (two girls) were working in womens so we could get out early. We didn't see him come in... he yells to see some shoes.. so we get him the shoes. I walk away he says he has an exchange... My manager is ringing him up mind you (shes tiny!!) so I hear the sensors demagnetize... and I'm thinking... our shoes have sensors in them?? but I didnt say anything because what the heck do I know I only work there a one day a week... anyways she calls me over to do go backs... the guy gets the shoes and a merch credit for his "exchange" and leaves... I pick up the clothes to go back... one is a Mens size 32 one is a 36 and they bothe have ALL tags on them... so does the shirt... seems while we were working in womens... this moron walked through grabbed clothes out of the racks threw the hangers in the fitting room brough them up to the register and returned them. We figured all this out after and my manager felt so dumb..poor thing... It was probably for the best we didnt confront him as we are both smallish girls and he was a big guy...but still that makes me mad... the sensor noise i heard was OUR clothes being desensitized... GRRRRRRRR.

And I had some lady call last night with about 8 things out of the catalog she wanted me to hunt down in the store so she could try them on... luckily we are a small volume store and only had 2 of the items LOL

This is WHY I work in the very BACK of the Store, where I do NOT have to deal with Customers!

Wow! Retail is hard work!

I went shopping today, and had a great time.
I was nice to the checkout person, and she was rude. She asked if I had "their" credit card. I said, no, I did not need another card.
She said...it will save you 30% today. I again declined politely.

She threw my stuff in the bags, and handed me my receipt.

I just let it go, and walked out with my purchases.
I found great deals and was not going to let her get me down.

Sorry you two have to deal with rude people. I try to be nice to everyone. Some people have bigger problems and you just happen to be the one in the way.

Lisa, we are supposed to ask if they want to have a credit card too.

My problem is, I know they charge 20% and I think it's crazy. I don't ask that often. lol

Yea, I know theirs is 20%, too. My Visa is only 12% and my husbands is 9%. So, I think we will stay where we are!

P.S. Do you get credit for signing people up?
I think they get $2.00 for every person that gets accepted.

Anywhere from $1 to $4. Usually 1. Frankly, it's not worth the headache, especially if they don't qualify. Yikes they get angry.

We get a dollar for every credit card we sign up.. I always forget to ask unless a manager is standing there... I hate asking so I dont! LMAO

LOL, one more thing while I'm venting here. I really wish the people in charge would get their acts together and decide on one way of doing something instead of 3 different managers telling me three different things.

One thing I found very interesting. Since I started, before Christmas, I was told that we have to cart around the merchandice that people return, to where they go, regardless of where they go. Whenever we had a free 1/2 second or before we leave. I have been doing this and so has everyone else.

Yesterday THE Store Manager saw me and took them from me and told me I didn't have to, that I was supposed to ask one of the managers to do it for me. It's confusing.

Like I was put at a special register and no one told me what I was supposed to do. I figured most of it out on my own, but sheesh.
