Shopaholic Goes Disney.... A Pre-Trip Report (Updated 12/26)

Which one makes you happy? That's probably the one that will go with most of your outfits too--I tend to drift toward the same color families. So, most of my stuff can be mixed and matched!!! don't you looooove the hipster? I wore mine to the mall today--so much easier with kids than trying to keep a purse on the shoulder while you bend over 2000 x's a day!!!

That's true....the blue makes me happy but the red is conservative and will go with more....maybe I should tell my DH to do some of his Christmas shopping and get me another one!!! That would solve all problems...lol!:rotfl: Looks like it's the perfect Mommy bag....and not having to deal with something on my shoulder will be great since one baby is still on my hip a lot of the time!!! Can't wait to put it to the test!!!:thumbsup2

I would also choose the one that matches with more.

I haven't used mine yet. I'm saving it for the trip. :)

I'll have to check out the satchel. I was thinking about the Little Betsey for my mom. I need to go to Hallmark and see them in person first. As far as the print- I'm clueless!

You know who would probably love that more than my mom - my dad! He would carry it everywhere. Belle is his reason for living these days.:rotfl:

You will have to wait and find out......

Okay, I can't find the 50% off sale. Was it all merchandise or just the sale stuff?

:rotfl2:

I can just see it now.... I'll come back from Disney and read in someone's trip report about the crazy girl walking around in Uggs in the 70 degree weather.

We made a personalized puzzle for my Dad. He's not much for showing enthusiasm so I was thrilled when I got an "Oh, Wow." Instead of just a "Wow."

I had to deal with Expedia for my flight to NYC before I studied in Prague. Maybe I should have been more persistent. I don't think they ended up charging us extra... but are flights ended up being messed up anyways: at different airports and at sucky times. I hate hate hate making phone calls... so it was really not a fun experience for me.
Since then I've decided not to deal with Expedia, I figured out that I probably could have gotten the same price on a flight through Delta directly, or just used Daddy's frequent flyer miles.
This trip I'm booked directly through Delta, and so far the only changes have been maybe 10 minutes each way on our flights. Not a big deal at all, and we got a good deal, and I'm building up my own frequent flyer miles. :goodvibes

All this Vera Bradley talk is making me consider writing up a Letter to Santa with Vera Bradley included. I really just want Disney money for Christmas, and my birthday, but the Vera Bradley bags are just so darn cute.

Aaaahhh.... the Hipster's are on Sale for $25 right now, but I really really really don't have any money. I think I'll send hints to my soon-to-be DH, because my birthday is only 2 weeks away:rolleyes1

I thought you would all like to know I caved in and its been done....I am now the owner of a Mesa Red Vera Bradley Hipster YAY!!!

I must give sincere thanks to Soleil, who if I had never met her would never have ever considered buying a purse online LOL YAY!! I feel so girlie right now and with the finding a sub...well I'm in my EEEEKKKK mode :rotfl:

Althought George was wonderful, I don't think I will be using Expedia again, either. Maybe Disney has spoiled me? I always expect the person on the other end to be friendly, upbeat and as exciting as I am.

Bless your heart, Jen! You are precious!!!! :cutie:

Welcome to Girlie World, sister!:flower3:

Since I'm so excited about the new changes, I couldn't help but write a mini-update today.

-Yesterday I changed our Pop reservation to Wilderness Lodge (woods view). Secretly, I'm hoping that they will just stick us in a courtyard view room, since we have one booked for the next six nights. Changing rooms will stink, but I'm just so thankful to be staying at WL that I will happily do whatever they tell me.

-I added a day to our park hopper. (An extra day at Epcot!:yay: )

-With the exception of a pair of jeans - I'm done shopping!!!! (Bring on Christmas!)

-Since we added a new ADR (and with a princess no-less princess: ), I bought another pretty princess top.

And since I'm promised a picture post - I'll leave you with another fun one.

(Yes, I really walked around the parks in platform sandals, a dress and pearls- but we can poke fun at that next week. )

If you are a lurker, please say hello. I would love to hear from you.

Very cute princess-y top! I love the old photo too! I would have walked around the "world" in my platform sandals, but my mother wouldn't let me!

I was something else! I wish my mother would have told me to dress more modestly!

On my first trip (at 14), I'm showing my navel nearly everyday. And this was pre-Britney Spears.

My mom didn't want me complaining all day that my feet hurt. Looking back, I don't blame her. I really used to let people know when I was in pain or not having a good time. Ok, I'm still like that at times!

Congrats! You'll love WL over the Pop!

Thanks for sharing the old photo! So cute!

Isn't it fun to add on more time to a WDW vacation?! We have decided not to go next year as we want to explore other destinations. But its so hard to stay away! I may have to arrange a long weekend or find a "business event" in Orlando! hehe

Trying not to lurk lol but type when I can. Love it so far. Ok I got my VB order I got the Hipster in Pink Elephant, Libby in PE, & 2 Lindsay's in Yellow Bird & Cambridge. I let my mom pick out which one she liked & take it to DC with her today. So she owns the YB & I kept the rest. BUt DD really likes the Libby I have a feeling that it will "mysteriously" end up in her closet.

So, I told Logan that the Hipster in either the Mesa Red or the Pink Elephants would be the perfect birthday present. When I showed them to him he was like "Do you really need another purse?" I said, "Yes." Then he said, "But it's $25" and I said, "But, it's on sale."

He went home over the weekend to discuss some wedding details with his parents. I would have gone except I had to work, and I am so incredibly poor right now that I couldn't justify finding someone to work for me. (I actually ended up an additional shift for someone else, because he did something crazy and broke his shin) He came back with a new coat, which I find hideous. He says it's a status statement where he's from: :sad2: He grew up on a farm. I was really hoping to be able to take him out and get him something really chic, but alas his Dad bought it for him, so I'm not complaining.... too much... and it keeps him warm, and that's all you need in a coat...correct?

Anyways... he made a note in one of his notebooks about the website. My guess is he'll probably buy me the Pink Elephant print, because that'll be easier for him to remember, but I'll love either, so it's a win-win.
We did kind of agree not to buy each other Birthday or Christmas presents this year, but to save the money for Disney. However, he already told me he was getting something for me anyways, so I figure I might as well ask for something I want. Besides I haven't gotten a new purse in ages...

Loved the updates! I am soooo excited to hear about 1900 Park Faire...that sounds like so much fun - they have most of the Cinderella cast right? The evil stepsisters and everything! :cool1:

The old pics are cute too...and that's so fun your friend will be there!

P.S. I ordered somethings from the VB website the other day! I got the pj shorts & a luggage tag in yellowbird...so cute! I'll probably include it in a PTR update, but I knew you'd be excited! :woohoo:

I have to know where you get a personalized puzzle!! I am a puzzle devotee!! I (&my kids) love 'em!! Could you link me? Pretty please?:cutie:

Congrats to all you ladies venturing into the VB world!!!! It's sooo fun--and compared with other 'Name Brand' purses and bags- they are really not that expensive.

Miss Soleil~ I love the picture---it's conjuring up someone else in my mind. Are you curious who that made me think of?

Blair Warner--the Facts of Life--Ha!!!!! I am really seeing the connection. Anyone else see it too?

Pearls at Disney!!! That is hilarious!! I only wear basics--I don't want to lose anything!!! Very classy--I love it:lovestruc

My DH feels the same way about traveling. He didn't get the chance and now he wants to go to alot of different places. He's going to Europe with his friends in the spring (without me-because that is too far from Belle for my taste). That should keep him quiet for a while. ;)

Pink Elephant is my favorite, but I haven't bought anything in that pattern. I'm thinking about getting a few things for my DM for Christmas.

It's so funny that you mention it, because when I went on the Disney Cruise our driver wouldn't stop telling me that.
