Shopaholic Goes Disney.... A Pre-Trip Report (Updated 12/26)

I too say Le Cell yay---but when I made ADRs the lady kept saying Le Cellars and I was about to crack up!:lmao: It was sooo funny-of course, I could be wrong, but that's how I have said it for so long, anything else doesn't sound right. And as for Akershus---what's up with that!!? could they pick any thing harder? Is it 'Aker' like acre or short a and the end totally blows me away!
Surely someone on here can say this place! Shelly.....? Trixiequilts....?Anyone....?

No clue, sorry! According to my CM, I even pronounced Teppan Edo wrong! :lmao:

I've been saying them all wrong!

I've been saying Aker (as in apple) Shush (as in be quiet).

Any other crazy ones you can think of? This is kind of entertaining!

I just like saying Tutto Italia. It makes me giggle.:rotfl:

Well, you know what I've been doing today? Singing, "Bella, BellaSoleil, Bella, Bella Soleil..." to a classical tune, and I can't remember the name. Weird, huh? When I think of it, I'll let you know so you can sing it to yourself!

oooo...I love the top. I've only been in an Anthropologie once and we were on our way somewhere else, so there wasn't really time to stop (or, more importantly, SHOP! ;) ), but everything there looked so unique and pretty!

Wow, Trixie! I feel so special! :goodvibes

Hi my friend! You should check out the website. It has the most beautiful and unique things.:cutie:

P.S. I went into the Print Room here at church and they had the Mickey Mouse paint chips.

P.P.S. Feel free to join in the Snowbird chat. The thread title is January 2008... who else is going? There are so many lovely people that you would really like. :goodvibes And you are officially a Snowbird now!!!

What about Chef Mickey's..... I mean what were they thinking?!?!

How do you pronounce that? :rotfl2:

Seriously though... another one that tickles me is Kaki Gori. Is that how you spell it?

:rotfl: This is so bad...I've just spent my afternoon browsing the Anthropologie website and discovering I want half of the things they sell! I'd better make myself get off the computer...I've got to get homework done! lol...I'll definitely check out the snowbirds later though! Sounds fun!:goodvibes

And Akershus is just a minefield of tongue-twisters. Even the foods have hard names...Can you say kjottkaker, anybody? ;)

This one makes me laugh. I say it like NAR-sue-SEE's I doubt that's right though.

I think it is with a hard "C", like as in cookie! And, Le Cellier is definitely pronounced Le Sell - ee- ay As a CANADIAN who is not exactly bilingual but definitely knows FRENCH, this is how I would pronouce it! :)

Wow!!! I just realized that you are about to have the baby!!!! Please keep me updated! I had Belle at 38 weeks. Good luck with everything!:wizard:

P.S. Did you see my little baby Lulu? She's in our family picture. She could be Rusty's lady friend. :) They would make a cute couple!

Thanks for the luck...just a waiting game now. He already weighs 7lbs 4 oz and his head is in the 98th percentile:scared1: which has me freaked out just a bit....long legs and big feet. But all of this does not suprise me as all of DH family is very tall...so I am going to have a tall boy. We have been jokingly (sp?) calling him Blake Jr after my DH newphew who is 8 taller than me (I'm only 5'2")....I can also fit into his shoes (I wear 7-7.5) and he has been wearing adult hats and helments probably since he was 3 or 4....he is just going to be a tall kid and he was born with long legs, big feet and head and weighed 9lbs 1oz:scared1: .

As for Rusty....he is single:rotfl: and they would make a cute couple. I have regretted getting him fixed (at least right away) because I would love to have a part of him when he is gone. He is such a good dog and we really lucked out because when we went to get him...his parents were really mean. I am suprised we left with him at all. He is not yippy at all like some chihuahua's are..but I would be afraid to get another one after Rusty is gone and not have it be as good as Rusty....he just loves everybody. But is he is very mellow and great with kids...though I am interested to see what he does with the baby since he has been our only baby for 3 yrs now. My SIL even bought him a little doggy t-shirt that says "Its a Boy!" so we will have to put it on him when we bring baby home from the hospital.:rotfl2:

We got Lulu from my little sister, who for about 2 years either got a dog or a tatoo with each new boyfriend. (She went through 3 dogs and I don't even know how many tatoos. The dogs all have new owners, but I'm afraid she's stuck with the tats.) I was newly pregnant when Lu came into our life and because of my maternal instinct, I babied the mess out of her. We were worried about how she would react to the baby. At first she was nervous and now they are the best of friends. It's the cutest thing ever! She's the perfect size to play with Belle. They wrestle and play hide&seek. Lulu is like Rusty and does not bark alot and is very friendly. She's the sweetest little thing!

This is when we first brought Belle home from the hospital. Lulu took on the "big sister" role right away.:cutie:

That is the cutest picture. I hope Rusty does well...if not then he will be going to obediance training because he is not going to go anywhere (I've actually had people ask me if we are still keeping him---of course we are...we did not get a dog just to get rid of him when we have kids---)

I can almost promise you that Rusty will be okay. They will be best buds before you know it.

Belle just started saying "Lulu" this week. (You-You, actually.) As soon as she can see our front door she's hollering "Yooooou-Yooooou!!!!!

Here's another funny picture:

Look at Lu down in the bottom corner. :scared1: That was her reaction for the first few months.

(The Jack-Russell is Lu's best friend KiKi, my 1st baby. KiKi lives with my mom now. :( I let my parents keep her while I was living in an apartment with a no-dog policy and they wouldn't give her back.)

Hey Just thought I'd bop over from the snowbirds thread. Cute pics I have some real cute ones of my babies (when they were babies) in their baskets w our cocker spaniel we had a the time leaning on them. But Allie didn't look too happy. She did adjust & was great with them. Just be patient with the dog they were there first you know.:goodvibes

Today I went shoe shopping. (Ahhhhhhhh…….:cloud9: )

Words that sound sweet as honey coming out of any girls mouth – any girl except me, that is.

It is with great regret that I report, this Shopaholic is not so crazy about shoes. :sad1:

Since 90% of my vacation wardrobe has been purchased, it was time to buy shoes…. before they are gone and I’m left with trying to squeeze into a size too small because apparently my shoe size is the most popular ever…….ARGH!!!! (Excuse my grammar, please.)

On my great shoe search, I wanted to find some stylish, but comfortable.

My friends: “Good luck with that one, sister….”

(Because they know me so well….and I’m known for having majorly sore feet all for the sake of looking cute.)

With that being said….. I think I did rather well. :confused3

I found these boots a few weeks ago, tried them on and they are super duper comfy.

Next on my list - Old, trusty Ugg boots.

Finally - Ruby Red Slippers, so I can click my heels and return to Disney.... Oh wait, it doesn't work that way, does it? Shucks!:rolleyes1

I do realize that it will most likely be 70 degrees in Orlando in January. I FREEZE in 70 degree weather. It is 70 here today and I'm huddled up to my heater. BRRRRR!!!!

princess:

Next up....
What to eat and what to wear at Cali Grill????? Hmmmm.....:ssst:

I can't imagine wearing those huge boots in Florida. It was only about 55-60 degrees here today and I'm still in my flip-flops! The day that I need to start wearing socks and real shoes is the worst day of the year for me. You're used to warmer weather in the winter than I am, right?

That's great! I never though of a jack russell as a baby pony!

I'm glad I came over from the snowbird thread this is great!

Oh I love the idea of Uggs for Disney! I grew up in southern California at the beach, and just LIVED in my boots. It was 70'ish here today too and I was walking around with my leopard print scarf over my shoulders... Uggs sound perfect!
