Am I the only one that hates when you see something you love in the Shop Parks app and it's IN STORE ONLY!! Can't stand that. I need to do a better job of looking at the app before I go and noting what's available online and what's not. I've also heard of people using personal shoppers to go to the parks or DS to grab items, has anyone done this? Curious about fees to see if it's worthwhile. I googled and can't find anything.

I've noticed that a lot of stuff on the app anymore is In-Store only. This goes along with the changes they made back in August or so of last year. I was trying to get a certain item for a Christmas present and it wasn't In-Store only yet back then. I called and spoke to someone in Merchandise and they informed me that the policy changed and that they no longer are sending people out to the resorts and such to retrieve items bought on the app, and that the things on the app that AREN'T In-Store only are coming from places like the Emporium, Mousegear, etc., the bigger main shops in the parks.

It just sucks because the item I was after was out of stock for a long time, came back and when I went to order, I get met with that line "things have changed".

I haven't looked into a personal shopper, but I do have friends that live in that area and frequent the parks. Sadly, they got sick the last time they were there and I never did wind up getting that item and giving it as a present.

So yeah, Disney is closing the loopholes on shopping even. I guess a personal shopper is better than the 3rd party resale sites though. Just depends on how much the personal shopper would be asking.
