Does anyone know why there would be a price difference between the two? Or why certain things only show up on one and not the other? Looking to get the magicband sale they are currently having right now, but they are not listed on sale in the app. And also trying to see if they could deliver to the resort as I check in on Friday.

Don't know about the delivery, but I found lots of Expedition Everest stuff on the App that I could never find on the Store site.

They do not have the same exact product selection. The Shop Disney Parks app has a lot more park specific merchandise (for WDW at least) than DisneyStore.com. Sometimes DisneyStore.com will have things not currently listed on the Shop Parks app. Sometimes they run the same promotions at the same time, sometimes they don't. For example, a little over a week ago, both the Shop Parks app and DisneyStore.com were running a 25% off most stuff promotion. I was able to buy 45th Anniversary stuff and other stuff from both during this time. Right now, DisneyStore.com is running 20% off most stuff, and also has a $10 off MagicBands sale, and the Shop Parks app has neither. DisneyStore.com allows Disney gift cards to be used as payment, the Shop Parks app doesn't. If you are going to be staying at a resort, the Shop Parks app knows and will allow you to have orders sent to your resort gift shop free of charge, DisneyStore.com doesn't. It appears that Shop Parks app orders are fulfilled by WDW gift shops, and all of my orders have always shipped from Orlando, whether UPSed to my home or sent to my resort. DisneyStore.com orders seem to be fulfilled from a warehouse somewhere.

Thank you! May have to wait until March to use them if I can't get it to my resort. And also give them a call later. Not recognizing my annual pass discount either.

disney isn't 1 giant company, it's a lot of different companies and things. the disney store is not the same people as the shop disneyparks app so like any company, it's a lot of people that don't do anything together or talk to each other. the app is specific to WDW (at this time, not sure if disneyland has been added yet). I don't think disneystore takes the AP discounts and hasn't for a long time (did they ever?) and the shop disney parks people aren't having a sale because well they are the parks and why not charge you more.

I feel like I ordered something with my AP discount online before. Could be wrong. Can't hurt to call. If not, still a fairly good sale they are having.

Yes, as was discussed before, Shop Parks in in the Parks division, and Disneystore is under DCP (Disney Consumer Products). So the basic line of products are totally separate. But then came some cross-boundary merchandising. Disneystore began carrying some items under the Disney Park product tab. Disneystore will carry items for awhile, and run various promotions and even put some on clearance, that is still full price at the parks. I assume they just need to move it out of the Disneystore warehouse. They also sometimes run "free shipping with at a park item purchase" promos.

Now the parks are carrying more and more DisneySTORE items, mostly "hardlines", toys (but not plush) and mugs. You will see these items at the parks, still with the Disneystore label on them (but possibly at a slightly higher price). The parks will even have some store items at full price, well after the stores have marked them down and sold out. I believe this trend will continue, cross-selling in both places. There were usually better prices on TDS.com, with sales, but the ShopParks app has sales too. I love having both options.

I do not think the stores have offered an AP discount, but they have offered a DVC discount, but I am not sure if they do online?

I've been able to get my WDW AP discount with the Shop Parks App, but not the DisneyStore.com. I think both the Shop Parks App and DisneyStore.com have a Disney Rewards Visa Card discount (usually 10% for purchases over $50) - I know the DisneyStore.com does, but I haven't used it on the Shop Parks App recently.
