Shop Parks App--accurate?

I noticed that you can look at items on the app and it will tell what stores have inventory. Have you found this to be accurate?

I feel like this will be great when my girls want to buy the first things they see. I can tell them they will see it again later.

On a previous trip I wanted to get a particular beach towel. I had "pre-shopped" to see what stores had it before leaving home. My resort showed that they had some in stock. So when I arrived at the resort, I went to gift shop. I couldn't find the towel anywhere. I pulled up the app and it said that they had some in stock at the shop. I asked a cast member and they checked the inventory also. Then the went into "the back" and brought several out to add to their current display of beach towels.

SO... Moral of the story is to always confirm with a store cast member what is in stock.

If you want a particular size of clothing, the store may not show accurate as the day goes. Last year, I wanted a particular shirt that was only at Epcot. The app showed it in the size I wanted at two stores. The first store was out and when I asked the CM mentioned she remembered selling it earlier that day. Luckily, the second store had it.

For clothing items, I would make sure multiple stores show the size wanted before passing on it at that moment.
