Hey i am going to Disney World and Universal Orlando this summer and i want to know what shoes should i wear i have both tennis shoes and flip flops which shoes should i wear???

I've used flip-flops, sneakers etc. Flip flops were the worst. Last trip in April-purchased TEVA sandals from Amazon-Best comfortable walking sandals I've ever had.

Love my Tevas. They are light and comfortable. The straps keep them on my feet but don't feel binding. I can wear them in the rain and they dry nicely.

I prefer crocs (I wear the ballet flat style) and teva-type sandals for parks with water rides, when lots of rain is forecast, and for when I wear dresses. I also bring sneakers for days when I know there are no water rides, like Disney Springs or EPCOT or HS day. I like to alternate shoes so that I don't rub blisters anywhere. And make sure they are all broken in!

I THOUGHT my birks and vibrams would work, and I brought a pair of Toms just in case. Oh my painful feet, was I wrong. The most comfy pair out of the three I brought ended up being my flat, worn in Toms and I had really brought those for just wearing around the resort. The birks and vibrams killed me. I ditched them in the room, purchased a pair of crocs in the gift store and switched off between the crocs and the Toms throughout the day. This time I am packing way more shoes. I will have Teva Mush flip fops, LL Bean flip flops, 2 pairs of crocs, a couple of pairs of Toms, Teva hurricanes, and at least one pair of close toed Cushes. I will continue to bring an extra pair of shoes into the parks because switching out part way through the day was a must last time. A back up pair or something that dries quickly is a must on rain days (or if you do water rides). So, I say bring several pairs of really comfy shoes that dry quickly and plan on sticking an extra pair in your backpack or whatever on park days. Wear different shoes every other day.

I, too, swear by my Keen Whispers and my guys by their Keen Newport H2s. My oldest is fine with his sneakers (he normally has a good pair of Saucony), but I don't like to slosh. Anyone who wears sneaks does wear wicking, quick-dry socks with them, and we don't do wet rides when people are in sneakers.

I have worn Teva Mush Olowahus when we aren't going to be in the parks long, and they work well, too. But I would definitely not want to wear them all day. I wish Clarks still made Privos - they were the only cute athletic shoe I could do parks in.

Funny, after reading a lot about shoes on the boards here I've bought myself Keen Whispers and Teva Olowahus and my husband and 9 yo son the Newport H2s. We've all been LOVING our Keens all summer and I'll think they'll be great for our Disney trip. The Tevas are new and I probably won't wear them a lot at the parks, but they seem like good flip flops. My husband also just got Teva Mush flip flops and really likes those.

I got a pair of Skecher GoWalks as well, which are super comfy. I put those to the test walking ling distances around NYC and they passed with flying colors. Not sure how quickly they dry, and I am thinking they might be a little hot in Orlando in August.... we'll see!

I feel like what shoes work best is completely dependent on the person. I have a weird tendon issue on the tops of my feet, so I cannot wear anything that ties without it being very sore/painful. For me, I'm a flip flop girl. I can comfortably wear a pair of yoga mat Sanuks and walk 10 miles. Toms are also fine for me.

I use to wear crocs until I fell at EPCOT in the rain. They are very slippery. I will wear them for the parks but not during rainy season
I have fallen once at home on our deck steps but never at Disney. But yes, they can most definitely be slippery.

ETA: I actually forgot, I did slip at Disney in June, but it was at SSR on a puddle of standing water on the hardwood floor near Artist Palette.

Whatever is the most comfortable, that won't cause blisters with heat, swelling, or sweat

This is the perfect answer, but we need to add "for you".

Footwear is incredibly personal and can't be duplicated from person to person with any sort of success.

The most comfy pair out of the three I brought ended up being my flat, worn in Toms and I had really brought those for just wearing around the resort.

Weirdly I have heard that before. For those who can wear Toms, they *can* be very very comfy.

I can comfortably wear a pair of yoga mat Sanuks and walk 10 miles.

The ones with all the fabric? If so, we're very opposite. Those kill me if I wear them for a block. Cuteness for days, but youch. Whereas the ones DS got, that are thicker on the bottom and just feel different, and are just plain flipflops, are so so so so comfy. His feet are now bigger than mine and those Sanuks were the same size as my foot, so I've taken them from him. :)

I do *best* with Crocs Athens flipflops (none of mine are slippery) and a pair of running shoes as backup. I can wear my minimals (vibram sole but without the toes) for maybe half the day as long as its dry (they have weird holes on the bottom) but not the whole day.

But then I'm barefoot a lot, do yoga and ballet (those strengthen the feet), and I run in basically minimal shoes, so my feet are strong and aren't fighting the sole of a shoe (like what happens with my fabric-thong Sanuks b/c those soles are like wood with a thin yoga mat on top).

The very first time I got Athens, though, they ripped up the tops of my feet! I would have returned them except the bones of my feet no longer felt like someone was smashing them with hammers (I bought the shoes mid-Disneyland-trip when my "stability" Sauconys were making me think I was going to die of pain). So I covered the tops of my feet with bandaids and soldiered on. The skin reaction only lasted a few days and ever since then they've been fabulous.

For many trips I've alternated shoes each day for 8-day stays and have never had a problem.....Clarks flip-flops and Brooks running shoes. The Clarks have good arch support (for flip-flops) for my feet and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS shoes have excellent arch support and stability for my overpronating feet (feet lean in slightly) but everyone is different.
