Shoes suggestions please?!

Hi Everyone

I'm hoping somebody will have some great tips on what type of shoes to buy for our upcoming trip!? Last time I had a pair of sandals from Next which I don't remember causing me any problems however they were slightly worn by the time we got home - so much so they went in the bin!

This time though I'm so concerned about which pair to buy - so I'm wondering if any of you have any suggestions on any brands or stores to try please - for both me and hubby ! The boys have crocs but I must admit I haven't yet seen a pair of crocs for me that I find appealing!

I *live* in Skechers. Seriously. I have so many pairs of Skechers, I don't know where they all are

It depends on the type of shoe you are after I think If you wear trainers, sandals or fitflops to the parks etc.

Personally, I tend to mainly wear either my Skechers or Reeboks. Trainers that is. But, I have a chronic neuropathic pain disorder so thats really what I'm stuck to.

Saying that, if you want a really good pair of sandals, have a look at Skechers. They have a huge range and are really nice. I'm planning on purchasing a pair for September. They've got slight padding which makes them much more comfortable than your standard pair off the high street.

As far as flip flops go, I've heard that FitFlops, Skechers Tone Ups?, Havianas etc are all good.

Have a look at sports direct, for both male and female. They have a great selection and usually fantastic prices

Thanks that's great - I tend to wear sandals as I hate hot feet! I'll take a look at the sketchers they sound like they may suit my needs.

Crocs are sooooo comfy! Once you have worn a pair round a park you will never go back to anything else!

I love Merrell footwear as they are so supportive. I've had various styles over the past few years, they are a bit dear but do last for years.

I loooove my fit flops!!!

I'll be rotating 3 pairs this trip! Wore them every day all day last time and didn't have any foot problems once.

I also bought reebok easytone trainers and the soles looked similar and they're super comfy too!

For your husband look at Timberland wet weather running shoes. They're designed for running in streams so you don't wear socks and they dry very quickly when soaked. They have mesh sides that let loads of air through so cool and comfy plus you can run and walk for miles. I run in them without sock that's how comfy they are. Picked mine up for £35 as well.

another vote for Birkis here. I wear both the Gizeh style and Madrid (one band "scholl" style) I have Black patent, brown nubuck, silver, white and new for this year, pink!! I love Birkenstocks

I usually rotate Clarks Springers flip flops with toe post with a couple of pairs of Crocs flip flops with toe post (think they're called Athens) and take a pair of trainers in case it's wet or we go riding.

had the same problem a few weeks ago and have decided on skechers deelites i think they are called lightweight and supportive and some maryjane crocs as well
the kids really want trainers but i ahve got them crocs as well from sports direct they have loads of styles and colours and are really cheap too !!

Hubby & I have never owned, nor desired to own, a pair of Crocs-largely due to the classic style that I always get for our son that are soooooo unattractive (but they work for him because he can slide them off/on easy yet they stay on his feet.)

We were out 'shopping' for our May trip to Orlando & came across some adult style Crocs. We both tried on different pairs & fell in love. I told hubby to show me the exact style & size he wanted & I would come back later & buy them. When we got home I went to the Croc website to see what other styles they had & if prices were any better (they weren't.)

I 'registered' on their website & put our Crocs in my wishlist as they offer free shipping for orders over $65. In about 30 min, I had a 20% off coupon in my email. So I went back & got son a different pair & ordered ours...we are waiting for them to arrive!

My wife wears Skechers shapeups and Fit Flops. I wear whatever trainers happen to be within reach at the time, nothing special.

Whatever shoes you wear, just make sure they're well broken in before you go. I have worn trainers and various types of flip flops to the park and have only ever had problems when I wore new shoes. I bought a pair of Mickey FitFlops in Epcot last year and stupidly wore them right away. They cut my feet to pieces and I had to wear my trainers every day after that.

Whatever shoes you wear, just make sure they're well broken in before you go.

I might also suggest that if you aren't used to walking a lot you had better start getting in shape now. 10 miles or more a day is not unusual at all in an Orlando park. If you're a couch potato by nature you will be suffering and your vacation will seem more like work than fun.
