So I've gotten some great ideas here about different shoes and sandals for Disney trips. My last trip I was in agony and I've been on a quest for the perfect sandals since last month for my July trip. (Yes, I'm an advanced planner!)
I've looked into some of the ideas, but the biggest stumbling block I'm hitting is the width issue. I have yet to find sports sandals that come in wide widths for women. My foot is a 6 1/2 D and I also have a high instep.
I got a pair of Keens today - they are open toe (won't do a closed toe in July!) and they're okay, but I think they might be more of my water ride day type of shoe. While I was at the store, I tried on several pairs of Merrells and was so sad - they were all too narrow. Going up to a big enough size for the width made them too long.
I also got a pair of Eccos from Zappos.com that I might stick with; but I'm still just not feeling like I've got it right.... and am ending up very indecisive in the process.
Back in 2001 for our honeymoon, I had the BEST sandals ever - they were Easy Spirit - and my feet NEVER hurt once that whole week. They no longer make those wonderful sandals and had I known, I would have bought like 5 pairs or something crazy like that to last me most of my life. But I digress...
What walking sandals have worked for you other wide footed women?
