I'm no stranger to how bad the rain can be down in Orlando.. but I always get stuck with sloshy tennis shoes whenever this happens. At the same time, I really need something more comfortable than sandals and full on rain boots are just too hot. Whats the best shoe for a long walking rainy day??

I use Teva's or water shoes. Lands End has many, also Easy Spirit-good soles/tread & you can wear with or without socks. Will dry o/n easily. I bought a pair of Speedo's @ Costco in May that are equivalent to sport walking shoes but meant to get wet; have put many miles on them to make sure they'll work for our Aug trip-love them!

Do tevas need to be broken in?

I absolutely love my addias climacool shoes (the water shoe style) You can walk all day and they dry out in no time. My whole family wore them for our 10 day trip last August.

I use tevas too. I didn't need a break-in period, but wouldn't want to suggest that no one will need one.

DW finally convinced me to try a pair of Go Walk 2 shoes for the parks. Even if they get soaked they dry very quickly.

Thirding the Tevas recommendation. I'd recommend breaking them in but just for a day or two, just to be safe. It's not always necessary but you know your own feet!

They're my favorite shoes for WDW, quick-drying, great support, comfy as all heck. And you can get a pair for under $50 on Amazon.

Another vote for Teva's. We always start with our sneakers in the morning and after our breaks if it looks like it will rain again (or hasn't rained yet) we put on our Teva's. We don't like soggy feet either!

Probably not popular but I love my Croc sandals. So comfortable and I never have to worry about them drying out fast. :)
