Shoes-flip flops or sneakers?

Need your honest opinions here! I am a Flip Flop fanatic and wear them everywhere, parks, zoos, etc. I am very comfortable in them and never have a problem at all, will they be ok to wear in WDW or should I plan on wearing sneakers?

Take both. You can always try your flip flops one day and if they don't work wear you sneakers the next.

I leave on Friday and I'm bringing 2 different kinds of flip-flops....in multiple colors each:rotfl: and my nike sneakers....just in case of a tragedy.

I wear Crocs (well, the cheaper fake ones) all the time and I bring them to Disney. I will wear tennis shoes as well and alternate the two. If I know I am staying through Wishes or Fantasmic, then I will wear tennis shoes. If you are used to flip flops all the time, I am not sure what the difference would be.

I'm the same way with flip flops, its ALL I ever wear ... EVER. But for Disney, I'm bringing tennis and 2 pair of my favorites. I plan to mostly wear my tennis, though.

I bring a pair of crocs, a couple of pairs of nice Reef or Teva flip flops, running shoes for running only, and a pair of heels for CG.

If you are comfortable in flip flops and are used to doing a lot if walking, you will be fine in just flip flops. However, if you don't walk much in your "normal" life, I would pack the sneakers just in case.

I've worn my flip-flops for an entire week in Disney more than once. As long as you know you can walk comfortably, then wear them, you will be more comfortable. I do always pack socks and sneakers, just in case, but they usually stay packed.

I wore both while at Disney. However, one of the pairs of flip flops which I wear almost every day at home with no problem started to rub wrong on my skin after several hours and wore a blister on me while at Disney. I guess I don't walk that long of distances at home or maybe they started to loosen up a bit, or got wet on a ride. I don't know. My other pair of flip flops were perfectly fine. Wear your flip flops but throw a band-aid or blister pad in your bag just in case.

If you wear them that much, you'll be ok in Disney with them. I wear my flip flops in WDW and I'm fine. :thumbsup2

I wore my Fit Flops for the entire week...but in any case, take 2 pairs of shoes--it will be just nice to alternate once in awhile. It can't hurt!

I wear flip flops most of the trip, but we go back to the room in the afternoon with our little ones and I always alternate to another pair of shoes for the evening (even if it's just a different pair of flip flops).

I bring two different pairs of flip flops and sneakers and/or some other type of shoe (last time I brought sneakers and Merrell mary janes).

Our last trip was in May during the ridiculous storms. Wet sneakers weren't pleasant, but my otherwise comfortable flip flops rubbed to much in all that rain to wear them the entire day. Also, several times the walkways were flooded during the heaviest rains and it was difficult to walk without losing your shoes. :sad2:

Teva Mush flip flops!!!

I'm wearing mine now. They are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn! Two years in a row, I've worn them for an entire week at Disney and my feet have felt wonderful!!!!

The best prices I've seen are usually at www.sierratradingpost.com

I brought some Keens and Teva mush Flip flops this time - I mostly wore my flip flops!!!

I usually wear my Fit Flops. I have bad feet and can't really wear the traditional flip flop but the Fit Flop works for me!

Teva Mush flip flops!!!

Me too. I take 2 pairs and a pair of tennis shoes just in case. Last year I was so happy to have the tennis shoes because we hit a cold snap and the first day my toes were frozen. I had to leave the flip flops home for a couple of days.

I will 2nd the Teva's ~ Love them ~ sooo comfortable ~ I plan on wearing them most of the time there!:thumbsup2

I'm leaving this Satruday morning for WDW and am taking a pair of nice sandals for some Signature meals I am doing. I am then taking only flip flops for the parks (Teva Mush, Nike Celso, and Sanuck Yoga Mat). I usually wind up in my Teva Mush.

I leave in 2 1/2 weeks for a week long trip :yay:. I bought the Merrell Circuit and the Merrell Circuit Breeze! They are the same shoe, one is the fall line and one is the summer line. They are AWESOME!!! The summer line has mesh sides so that the air and water can flow through easily and the fall line are sold suede. I sprayed mine down good with scotch guard and they still look new (and we've had a straight week of rain in Alabama)! REI.com has the summer (Breeze) on clearance right now)! I bought the blue ones and they are super cute!!! I have been alternating between both pair for my daily walks (4 miles twice a day) as well because they are much more comfortable than any tennis shoe I've worn (I'm certainly a flip flop girl)! Good Luck to you!!!

I alternated but wore flip flops one day longer I think. I love not wearing shoes at all so when I have to it is flips all the way for me but I was nervous about all the walking. I have nice tennis shoes but I think shoes in general make my feet feel hot and just too confined.

After comparing them both while there this is what I came up with - I was more uncomfortable WHILE I was wearing the tennis shoes but my feet didn't hurt as bad later whereas with the flip flops - I was comfortable while wearing them but my feet were REALLY sore at the end of the day.

Hope that makes sense!
