Shoes and socks in kids club

What is the policy on shoes and socks in the kids clubs and childcare? I want to make sure I pack the right kind of shoes. I have a 1 and 3 year old who both hate shoes and socks, but are required at our local gyms childcare.

I'm not sure if there is an "official" policy, but there have been a couple of Youth CMs posting on the boards in recent years and I have seen strong recommendations of no flipflops and no crocs due to causing slips and falls if the kids are running.

My kids usually wear Keens

Shoes.

DS wears Crocs (and has never fallen in them, but then he doesn't RUN in the lab and club, either) or athletic shoes.
