Shoe tree

Trying to edit title should be shoe tree.

Going from wilderness lodge to the campgrounds by boat. On our way we past the old river country water park. We then slowed and came past a large tree out from shore a good twenty yards. In that tree was a large flock of birds and dozen of shoes hanging from the lower branches.

Anyone know why all the shoes are in the branches?

When Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon Watercraft Cast Members retire they throw their shoes in that tree.

Adding to PP not just retirees it is also CPs who work transportation boats as well as CMs who quit or get fired.

Getting caught doing it is one of the quickest ways to end up on Disney's no rehire list though. Not that many get caught.
