I have several pairs of size 6.5 shoes...
I have worn my Clarks for the last two seasons, and they are giving out.
I am trying to find some comfortable everyday slides for this summer, and every single shoe I try on is TOO BIG!!!!

I ordered some Dansko (high quality, high comfort, high price) shoes from Zappo's, in the smallest euro size (supposed to be 5 1/2 - 6) And had to send them back.

I am honestly beginning to think that I will not be able to find a woman's shoe that is not too big????

I don't have a tiny narrow foot either... It is a bit short, but is plenty wide. Used to be, most shoes felt too snug across the widest part of my foot (from the knuckle of the big toe across to my little toe).

I am looking at a pair of Aerosoles, they are called Tres Chic, and they are really cute! Smallest size available anywhere is a 6... I am so afraid that if I order them, I will have to ship back yet another pair of shoes.

Anybody else noticing this???

Has anybody else worn Aerosoles???

How do their sizes run.

This Tres Chic is no longer being made, it must be from last years collections. Maybe if they adjusted sizes for this year, this one will not be big enough to fit an elephant!

Okay, rant over!

Oddly enough, I noticed that yesterday myself.

I'm a tall woman and have big ole feet to go with it. I'm used to taking a 10.5 to 11, depending on the maker.

I was at DSW yesterday and tried on a few pairs of sandals. The 11s were ginormous on me! I wound up taking a 9.5.

Are shoes getting bigger? I sincerely doubt my feet are getting smaller. :confused3

I haven't had this problem before, but I haven't exactly been able to buy many shoes lately. (But I graduate in May so we'll be a 2 income family again soon :goodvibes).

I've worn Aerosoles before and if I remember correctly, the sizing is pretty accurate. They are also very comfortable shoes.

I haven't noticed it..as a matter of fact I just ordered a pair of shoes in my normal size and couldn't even get my foot into them. :confused3

I have definitely noticed this in the past year or two. I pretty much have been a size 9 since I was 12 years old, very occasionally I would have to get a 9.5 if something was cut small. My last 3 pairs of shoes are 8.5! I hate it -shoes used to be the one thing you could count on to stay the same. I mean does anyone really care what size shoe they wear?

Odd.

I pretty much wear an 8.5 in everything. I ordered a pair of Dansko shoes last month (not a sandal but a heeled shoe). I ordered the equivalent of an 8.5 and it fit perfectly. Beautifully in fact. Now, I don't have any luck with their clogs. Too wide, tall, something.

I wear Aerosoles a lot and they are always true to size.

It depends on the shoe. Danskos are all hand made and have much more variance to individual pairs than machine made shoes. I am tall with big feet, and I bought a pair of Danksos for work in a 40 (US 9.5 - 10). It was so tight I could barely get my foot into it. Several of the girls I work with wear the same size and have Danskos. When I tried theirs on, my foot slid right out of them.

For what it's worth, Danskos are supposed to fit like clogs - be very wide and roomy, and your toes is not supposed to touch the tip of the shoe, and your heel is supposed to slide off the back of it and not touch the back of the shoe at all. So if that's how yours fit - it's the correct way for that type of shoe.

I LOVE the two different styles of Merrils I bought this year to wear at work. LOVE them.
You do have to try them on though. I wear a 6 1/2 also and had to get a 7 in one of them.

I have resorted to buying only (or nearly only) Easy Spirit shoes. :confused3 They come in sizes that fit, but those sizes vary between styles.
