I have arch supports from the Good Feet Store. They are not gel insoles; they are hard and not flexible at all. I'm thinking they will be okay, but I wanted another opinion. They are very expensive, so I want to be sure. Thanks for your help!

I have the same supports and only use them occasionally. They take a long time getting used to. I wear mine an hour around the house and at work, and some shoes won't take the higher arch comfortably, like loafers. Seem to help but like I stated, not to comfortable at the on set. Won't hurt to try them at Disney, easy to remove and place in a bag. When we go to Disney, my feet seems fine its my legs and shins that pay the price.

From the wording and the fact that this post is on the Transportation board, I assume you mean are these inserts okay to take on a plane with you.

The answer is yes, they will be okay as long as they have no gel, liquid, or paste in them.

paste???

DS has prescription orthotic made of metal/plaster with innersole glued to top due to foot issue.

Didn't have any problems before recent snafu, can't see that this would be a problem even now (of course he & DH always get pulled aside for additional screening - they've got the same name, assume it's listed on "watch list").

Anyone know for sure???

This insert ran several hundred $, wouldn't want to toss it. What happens if my luggage is already checked, can you check an additional bag @ that point???...nutz, something else to worry about.

As long as that insert has nothing liquid or semi-liquid in it, it will be allowed on the plane.

It's not shoe inserts that they are going after, it's liquids and semi-liquids such as gels and pastes (like chapsticks and Carmex and lipsticks). The only shoe inserts they are prohibiting are those with gel filling.

no, they're firm...thanks, still reviewing new TSA requirements.
