For our upcoming trip in June, DH & DS would like to be able to take their golf clubs along and do some golfing. Problem is....we don't have enough room in our car for luggage and their clubs. And they don't want to rent clubs at the golf course. Does anyone know if there is a way to ship something like that ahead and then back home again?? It seems like I remember reading about a service that handles this type of thing but can't remember where.

There are several services that will do it for you, it is especially popular for skiers. Here is a link to an article from the L.A. Times on the subject:

This is NOT a cheap option, and weight counts. If you do this, I would suggest keeping the clubs in the car and shipping most of the other luggage, instead. Another option, which may end up costing you a comparable amount when all is said and done, is to invest in a roof rack and equipment carrier for your vehicle.
