Shipping to Resorts

We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge 4 years in a row now and are getting ready to come back for a 5th trip!! Somehow the idea had never dawned on me (even though I worked at Staples) to have water shipped to the resort for free (with a Staples Rewards membership) until now. Has anyone ever tried this or shipping on your own? How did it work out? Also, I remember reading somewhere that they took the fridges out of the rooms... I guess we could just use the ice buckets to chill a few while we get ready and have breakfast.

I have shipped boxes to myself at the resort. When the kids were little, I would ship the diapers, wipes, etc. - things that took up a lot of room. When I ship the box I always pay for a return label, too, and ship the box back home at the end of the trip.

We used the grocery delivery service recommended by Disney one year and they were EXPENSIVE. :/ If you're able to snag a deal through Amazon or Staples and have it shipped, I'd go that route.
I have items shipped every year via Amazon.com - at WL and SSR, there was absolutely no issue. I called ahead just to verify the address/have them make a note that I'd have packages arriving and was told that they happily accept packages on behalf of resort guests up to a week before that guest arrives.

However, there is a pretty steep fee to have anything shipped to CR/BLT.

We have used Garden Grocer a number of times and have always had good service. There is a $40 minimum order and the delivery fee is $14. We do it this way b/c we usually order other stuff like snacks, cheese, yogurt, milk. The water is more expensive than at your home grocery store (about $8 dollars for a 24-pack) but that is much cheaper than what Disney charges. I don't know how that compares to staples prices. They have a variety of water brands.

As mentioned above, the conference resorts (not just CR/BLT) have a fee for shipped boxes because they are received through the conference centers. We paid about $10 to get our shipped box from CR. However, grocery deliveries go right to bell services, so there is no fee.

I don't know if shipped cases of water go to receiving or bell services, so take that into account if you are staying at a conference resort.

No they have a variety of brands for cases.

Staples has zephyr hills for $6.99. We're probably going to get smart water (it's what we get in the parks because I can't drink dasani) which is $31.99 for 24. In the parks they are $3.50 each for the same size bottle.
