Shipping to resort

I was thinking of shipping our stroller ahead to the resort since we're going on a 3 day cruise first and I don't want to take in on the flight down or on the cruise. I've seen that alot of people ship things ahead. How do you do this? Do you just mail it directly to the resort? Do you have to let the resort know first that you're doing this? How do they know to hold the box for you?
