Does anyone know if it is possible to ship a package home from one of the resorts? I am a pretty loyal carry on packer, but I just saw AK will be selling bottled BBQ sauce front the FLame Tree recipe and I'd love to buy some. Obviously I couldn't carry this on, though. And we won't have a car so I don't really want to seek out a USPS site. Any thoughts? TIA!

I do my holiday shopping every December down there. If you need it home fast (within two weeks) you will need to pay extra.

The gift shops can ship it for you. You can also go to a business center at any of the convention resorts. They have mailing centers and can ship UPS.

If they are in plastic bottles I would go to your post office and pick up the USPS boxes they have and pack one, they are flat. I pre bought the postage because if is a flat rate. The resort will give it to the postman for you!

Yes. You can have the shop ship it for at the time of your purchase. It is super simple. Just fill out a form, pay for the shipping and you're done. It great not to have to carry your stuff to the airport and such. It usually takes about 7-10 days for our packages to arrive at home. Cheers!!!

I did ship packages home to Norway both from the stores, and from the Fedex location at one of the Disney Resorts (don't remember witch one).
It was pretty simple. Just fill out the form, and pay. At the stores I paid for shipping there and then, and when I sent through Fedex from the conventions center, I bought the box and packaging supply from them and only paid them for the supply, and Fedex charged my credit card for the shipment.

On my last trip, I bought an Elsa costume for my brother to give to his granddaughter for her birthday. Since I wouldn't be seeing him before the birthday, I had it shipped from the shop. As others said, all you have to do is fill out the form and pay for the shipping. Very easy. And the costume arrived at my brother's house well within the two weeks they say it will take.

i shipped home plates, bowls and other breakables i had bought last year. i gathered it all up and went to my resort and shipped a bunch of stuff i had gathered over the week. the plates, bowls and other things i bought DTD at once and just had it shipped immediaetly from the store. one thing broke and disney sent it out overnight for free to replace it for me. the guarantee anything you ship from there its great.

FYI.... The stores ship on cost of your items and not weight. So if you are buying a lot of small things shipping can be high.

Last year I was told it would cost me $56 to ship from the World of Disney 3 pillow pets. I went to the store at the hotel and asked for a box. Packed it and went to the front desk. They weighed it and I went to FedEx and paid the shipping and they printed the label out. It was only $15.

But we aware of what they are charging and what you think it would cost. If your hotel is a convention center they have a shopping center so I would go there and do it myself.

Long story, but DS is planning to buy one of those gigantic sombreros in Epcot. It is NOT coming home on the plane with us...will the store in "Mexico" ship something that big? Think 4' in diameter, at least, and probably 18" high.

you may want to speak to them, i had wanted to ship one of the larger wooden animals they sell and was told they were considered too fragile.

Yea its weird, but I understood they were afraid they could not gaurantee it's safety. They refused to ship it even to the resort itself and were wary to even send to the gate. I'm guessing though worse came to worse could always just have ups ship it home.

Is it one of the wooden animals that you see artisans making/painting in the pavilion? Maybe they are afraid that if it is damaged, they might not be able to reproduce the exact same design. :confused3

Possibly, it didnt bother me though so i didnt look more into it, but i figured i'd bring it up since they may have had the same reasoning behind a sombrero since i figure they are rather fragile as well.

We ship packages from the resort every time we travel to WDW. We just go to the gift shop and ask for boxes. They will even give you packing tape. We pack everything and take the boxes to the concierge desk and ship UPS. I don't recall this being very expensive and the packages usually arrive within a week or so. It's like Christmas when the packages arrive from WDW.
