Shipping Food to Fort Wilderness

Good Morning! Curious if anyone has shipped food recently and if they have been charged? Thanks!!

Are you talking about shipping food from home via Mail (or FedEx/UPS) or are you talking about using a service like Garden Grocer?

Although I have not done either, I have heard that they were talking about a "Package" fee at the various resorts. From what I understand though it has not occurred yet at the Fort.

Oh good to know! I am not sure exactly yet and trying to decide between Garden Grocer, Instacart Publix, or Amazon Prime Pantry.

We used garden grocer Nov 2015 and Nov 2016. We were in a cabin both trips. The first trip our cabin wasn't ready so bell services held the groceries and then brought them over for us. 2nd trip, groceries were delivered right to the cabin. We weren't even there yet but got a text or email from GG stating what cabin our groceries were in. We did not get charged for package delivery by Disney. I think the process would be similar for campers except they couldn't get in your unit of you're not there. So they would just be left at bell services.

1) If we get perishables in the frig at the Outpost.
2) Bell Services can deliver them or you can come and get them.
3) We do not stock your frig, whether a camper of cabin.

That's great, so no charge? I have no problem coming to get them as we will have a golf cart and they will be delivered hopefully around the same time we are checking in if all goes as planned.

The only charges are the fees from the food delivery people, AND the tip you give to the Bellmen if delivered to you.
