I saw on here where people got grocery stores to ship alcohol to the room and I'm trying to find out what store it was, can anyone help me out?

I don't know about shipping, but I do know that Gardengrocer.com will deliver beer & wine to your room (as well as groceries). There is a minimum charge of $40 for them to deliver and there is a small delivery charge - tho I'm not exactly sure what it is.
At one time there was a place called "Beer Run" that delivered beer, but I think I heard that it is no longer in business. I could be wrong about that, tho.
Hopefully you'll get someone who knows more than I to point you in the right direction.
In the meantime, maybe you can google "alcohol delivery to WDW resorts" or something similar that will encompass what you need.
Have a great trip!:drinking1

We ship ours from home. We never have a car. We use Disney transportation. I always send a box down with gifts, snack, and alcohol. That way I don't have to put it in the luggage. We never do beer we buy that there.

We have used Garden Grocer. you can email them for prices and then add it in the special comments section of the order, they'll charge you separate for the alcohol order. Also, we faxed a copy of our license so they would leave the delivery with bell services. So well worth it, plus you can get some fruit, snacks, water, soda, etc. Prices are very good for the service

Be careful - it is illegal to send alcohol through the USPS. And there are state regulations regarding shipping through UPS & FedEX.

I think your best bet is to have it delivered, from Garden Grocer or similar.

We used gardengrocer for in-room beer. It worked out really, really well. DH even wanted some craft brews we can't get here at home and they found them!

I hadn't thought of this before. I use wine.com a lot at home. I have also ordered water from Staples.com to my WDW resort. I might try having some wine from wine.com shipped to my resort for my next visit!

Once my husband had a case of wine shipped to the house. It turned out to be more trouble than the savings was worth.

- The UPS guy came to our house while we were at work, left a "you weren't here note".
- He came back the next day, same time -- duh, we work every day, guy!
- Left a note saying he wouldn't be attempting again, we could pick up at their headquarters, which is one city over, not at all convenient for us.
- Went to pick up, arrived minutes after they closed.
- Husband took a long lunch the next day to arrive during business hours.

The problem: An adult must sign for alcohol.

Not at all worth the effort.

We used www.beerrun.biz last year. (I have read that they are no longer in business, but I haven't checked myself). Anyway, we had beer and wine delivered to POR. It was waiting for us at bell services when we checked in. We did not have to be there for delivery to the resort.

We just called when we checked in and a few minutes later it was delivered to the room.

You may want to check Whole Foods and garden grocer, too.

1) Yes.
2) Not Front Desk or Bellmen.
3) Only THE GUEST may sign for the booze.
4) So, you must stay in the room waiting for the delivery.

Not quite-
We use garden grocer and as long as you fax or email them a copy of your driver license - and that name/license matches the name on the room they will leave the delivery with Bell Services.

No issue at SSS in April or at BWI last December as our groceries including beer and wine were waiting when we checked in. Everything was kept nice and cold too!

Back to the OP - Garden Grocer and We Go Shop will deliver beer and wine for sure but I don't know about other alcohols.

We have ordered alcohol from www.gardengrocer.com multiple times and have never had to be there to sign for it. :confused3

Not multiple times, but this was our experience. I do think that DH scanned and emailed his DL to them. We picked it up from luggage claim and they certainly didn't check id. It was delivered while we were landing at MCO and was in the fridge when we picked it up.

It's VERY typical with this poster that he answers questions as though his answers are fact, when they are usually just what he THINKS are fact, and is frequently wrong.

Grain of salt, people.

Ah yes - that sounds like a hassle. I live in a condo building with a front desk who signs for our packages, so it's a lot more convenient!

We used Garden Grocer on our 2011 trip and we were very pleased. This may have changed since then but I had to spend a $40 minimum on groceries other than the alcohol. This was fine because I had a young child that I bought food for. I did not need to fax my license nor did I have to show ID for my order to be delivered. It was there waiting for us when we arrived at our resort.

Not sure why this would be a problem, seems pretty obvious to me that someone would 21+ would have to receive it/sign for it.
Yes, and I described the problems we had with delivery time and having an adult home. In the end, we ended up having to drive to the next town to pick it up ourselves. Are you willing to hang around the hotel room for the delivery person so that you can sign for it?

They now offer beer & wine as part of their options so you don't have ot order the $40 minimum plus the other - it is now included in the minimum.
