Shipping a Travel Trailer

Odd question, i know.

Has anyone here ever shipped a travel trailer? Curious if its done by the mile or what.

I haven't shipped a camper, but I have race cars. There are transport companies that do this. Typically it is on a per bid basis and mileage is a factor. I just Googled "RV Transporter" and there are a bunch that came up. I would call several an get bids. That's what we do with race cars. I would definitely use a specialty transport company though and not a generic hauling company.

Years ago, we shipped our rv from Caoifornia to Pennsylvania. I believe we used FedEX. True. They had a man pick it up, put it on a flatbed, and drive it across the US. They gave us a flat rate. I am assuming it was based on mileage
