Just WONDERing if there any advantage to calling and adding money to your account before you sail?

Two things that I can think of is:

1. It gives you a start to a budget so you know how much you can spend on board

2. If you send it early then you won't be tempted to spend it before you leave and then not have it

Absolutely! I placed cash on my onboard account on embarkation day last cruise. Next cruise I will definitely do it before we board.

I believe if you go to www.disneycruise.com, click on "Get Set to Sail" and then click on Cruise Line Gifts, you can either call or fax it in as directed. Onboard credit is a part of the pdf Cruise Line Gifts form.

You can actually call the Disney gift line, and put an onboard credit on any cruise that you know the reservation number for! I don't believe you even need to be sailing with them...

We did...just because we wanted to have everything pretty much paid for before we left.

We figured out approx, from these boards..how much we would spend on drinks, dry cleaning, spa, etc. Worked out great.

We took cash for tips.

Great idea. I had already planned on bringing cash for the tips next time but, now I am also going to try and put all of our other spending on our account before we go. Then when i want a bahama momma or konk cooler I dont have to worry about how much it costs, it will already be paid for!
