ship tours on the Fantasy

We are on the Fantasy next 5/30 and I since we have 3 sea days I am interested in ship tours--behind the scenes, history of the ships, or maybe a behind the scenes of the theatre. Are they offered more than once? We usually have the DVC reception at 2PM on embarkation day.

If you want a. Behind the scenes of the theatre you want to go on a long cruise either a transatlantic or Panama Canal maybe. No guarantees but that’s your best chance. They do have a tour of the ship. Look in your navigator.

Embarkation day there will be all-ages basic orientation tour.

They should offer - probably more than once - the Art of the Theme Show tour which looks at details that tell the story. It is awesome. It is 18+ - no kids allowed.

No bridge or galley tours I am aware of - especially not on a 7 night.

As noted, the "behind the scenes" tours (theater) I've only seen on the long cruises.

A galley tour is possible. But it's not advertised. You need to go to Guest Services (embarkation day, if possible) and ask about the possibility of there being one. They will put your name on an "interest" list. It's really up to the Captain & the chef if they will do one, and if they do, you will be notified whether you've been ticketed on it.

Occasionally, there are talks by a ship's officer about the history of sailing (not specifically Disney cruising, but general cruising).

On a 7 night Western Caribbean, we went to Guest Services right after we boarded and asked if it were possible to get a theatre behind the scenes tour. They told us they would look into it and let us know if it was possible. A few days later, we had an invitation to a theatre tour waiting for us on the Fish outside of our stateroom. It was informative and fun!

Oh that's a great tip, going to GS to ask about a tour of the galley, I always wanted to check it out, our upcoming cruise is a longer one (11) so I'm hoping they'll have it. Thanks for posting it.
