Ship to your resort? NOT!

Well I placed an online order to have water shipped to us while at WDW. I did just what I was told to do per dis boarders. Guess what?!? I get a cancel notice that they could not confirm address for shipping. I called in a few hours ago and was told they do not ship to any place except residences. They told me they have not done this is a very long time. So let me warn you before you do this that COSTCO will not ship to a resort. At least they did not for me. Now I am left with having to just buy water at the parks. I do not have the time now to order anywhere else and have it arrive. GRRRRRRR

I don't blame you for being upsest. Will you have a car? The Hess Gas Station is where we always stop to buy your water and it is relatively cheap.

I always shipped it until this year. This time I used a small bag that I was checking and put waters right in it. It was 12 or 16 bottles. Then I out the rest in the other two suitcasess. The one that had clothes in it, I put the water in a plastic bag.

That sucks. I was thinking about shipping water on my upcoming trip. I guess it's iced water from the CS counters for me.

I would take a taxi to the nearest store. It would still be cheaper than 2.50 a bottle. Take the bus to DTD and go to the Hess gas station, and than take a taxi back to your resort, if you don't want to carry it back on the bus.

keep in mind all the cs or stands that have soda fountain pop - will give you free ice water - you can bring a water bottle and fill it for free!

Try Garden Grocer next time. We order water and ice chest and snacks every year and they deliver to your room even if you are not there! Hassle free and it only cost a bit more than the grocery store. Well worth the extra $$$$.

I just ordered from costco yesterday and got the confirm today that my order was shipped. I have ordered water at least 5 times before this too. Did you use the "official" address for your hotel as list on the hotel threads? Perhaps if it was not the true address their system kicked the order out. I'm sorry to hear this happened to you.

We did this in June with no problems. I would try your order again...make sure that you use the correct resort shipping address.

My order in May got cancelled too. My stroller from a different site got there just fine, but not the water.

I shipped two boxes of diapers, shampoo, etc today to Pop Century. I use FedEx on a daily basis and the program told me the Pop address didn't exist, so I checked the usps website and it also told me the Pop address was wrong. So I called Pop and she confirmed it was the correct address. So, I shipped anyways.

So I could see how Costco would get a wrong address alert from FedEx (or USPS) and cancel the order, but I would still be mad if I was the OP. OP try garden grocer. We ordered two cases of water and breakfast stuff from them today.

Yes I did use the address from this site! I told the guy on the phone that I was SURE they have done this because I knew people who have this done daily from my chat board. Grrrrrrr Thank you all for the advice. How soon do I have to place an order for the grocery place? Does anyone know the link to that? We arrive Saturday at WL. I am not sure I have extra places to store water in my bags. Hmmm Ya know it would only cost me $15 to get another bag checked. Only checking 3 and have 4 people flying. The MAIN reason I want this is because I like having water in my room... sigh. I should have gone with staples. LOLLL So much for that now huh.

The resort shop ought to sell gallon bottles of water for $2.95 each - I've never been to POP but most of the resorts sell Zephyrhills water by the gallon.

Unless they've changed carry on limitations recently this wouldn't work.....too much liquid to carry on. Unless they're tinkerbell sized water bottles LOL

I assume you mean empty water bottles since you can't carry water through security unless it's for an infant.

If the OP is checking a bag with bottled water in it, PLEASE double bag the water in ziplocs. It would be very unpleasant to discover bottles of water had leaked and soaked all of your belongings. (Never mind the fact that if 1 or more bottles leak, the water could not only soak and possibly damage your belongings, but could soak into someone else's suitcase as well.)
