Hi all- I guess there aren't a lot of terms to learn about the ship (port, aft, etc.), so I don't expect there to be a video tutorial. Still, it would make explaining things a bit more fun if there was anything Disney/DCL themed. Anyone aware of any resources that might be out there? I tried to search for something before I posted but came up empty. Thanks!

I started to say aren’t a ton of Disney specific terms on the ship, but then as I started typing a list I realized there are. These are a few that might be helpful:
  • Cast members = cruise staff
  • Funnel Vision = tv on the pool deck
  • Key to the World (KTTW) card = room key and what is used for on-ship purchases
  • Oceaneer’s band = magic band for access to the kid’s club (age 3-12)
  • Port Arrival Time (PAT) — earliest time you can arrive at the port
  • Fish extenders — guest-organized gift exchange program (gets its name feom the fish shaped hook outside cabins on the classic ships that people hang bags from to deposit gifts)
  • Classic ships: Magic and Wonder
  • Dream class ships: Dream and Fantasy
  • Triton class ships: Wish, Treasure (in construction) and unnamed 3rd ship after that.

Or maybe something like this, but for the Magic?
